Player of the Week

Olivia Wanser, Queens
Junior, Designated Player, Westbury, NY

Junior Olivia Wanser continued to pace the offense, batting a team-best .700 with a .769 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage. She recorded a team-high seven hits, including a home run, while scoring one run, drawing three walks, and driving in two RBI. The junior totaled 10 bases with one extra-base hit over the four-game week. Wanser extended her team-leading hitting streak to 11 games and her on-base streak to 12 games, highlighted by a perfect 4-for-4 performance in Game Two against SCSU.


Pitcher of the Week

Mackayla Secoda, Mercy
Senior, Pitcher, Lansdale, PA

Secoda went 1-0 in the circle with a 1.75 ERA and 16 strikeouts in 16.0 innings pitched. The senior opened the week with 6.0 innings pitched, one earned run allowed and six strikeouts against STAC on Tuesday. The pitcher then threw a complete game with three runs allowed and five strikeouts to earn the win over D'Youville on Saturday. Secoda ended the week with 3.0 shutout innings pitched and five strikeouts in game one against Jefferson on Sunday. 


Rookie of the Week

Sklyer Secondino, Molloy
Freshman, Pitcher, Seaford, NY

Secondino went 1-1 in the circle this past week, throwing a complete game in the win against Bridgeport where she struck out two batters. The freshman struck out another two batters over six innings against Wilmington. At the plate, Secondino posted a .333 batting average, .667 slugging  percentage, and .429 on base percentage. She recorded a double against Bridgeport and at Wilmington and drew one walk.



ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Jorja Sandilands, D'Youville
Sophomoer, IF, Brooklin, Ontario

Sandilands batted .400 on the week for the Saints with seven RBIs. The Sophomore record two homeruns including a grand slam in game two against St. thomas Aquinas College on Friday. Sandilands also recorded two doubles and five runs scored.
 
Frankie Morris, D'Youville
Sophomore, C/IF, Lancaster, NY

Morris batted .583 for the Saints this weekend leading the Saints recording seven hits, six of which were doubles with at least one double in all four games played. 

Julianna Coluccio, Mercy
Junior, 3B, Sicklerville, NJ

Coluccio hit a team-high .412 (7-for-17) with a team-high seven RBI as Mercy went 3-3 on the week. The junior also added three runs, two doubles and one home run. The third baseman opened the week going 1-for-6 with an RBI in the doubleheader against STAC on Tuesday. Coluccio then went 3-for-5 with two runs, a home run and five RBI in the sweep of D'Youville on Saturday. The junior ended the week going 3-for-6 with a run and an RBI in the split against Jefferson on Sunday. 

Lauren McSweeney, Mercy
Sophomore, Pitcher, Islip, NY

McSweeney went 1-1 in the circle with a 2.83 ERA and six strikeouts in 17.1 innings pitched. The sophomore opened the week with a complete game against STAC on Tuesday, allowing four runs and striking out three. The pitcher then pitched 5.1 innings with three runs allowed and one strikeout against D'Youville on Saturday. McSweeney ended the week pitching 5.0 shutout innings of relief with just one hit allowed and two strikeouts to earn the win in game two against Jefferson on Sunday. 

Dylan Reyer, Mercy
Junior, Outfield, Baldwin, NY

Reyer hit .294 (5-for-17) with two runs and one stolen base as Mercy went 3-3 on the week. The junior opened the week going 2-for-6 in the doubleheader against STAC on Tuesday. The outfielder then went 3-for-6 with two runs in the sweep of D'Youville on Saturday. 

Madelyn Perrone, Mercy
Freshman, 1B/3B, Ballston Spa, NY

Perrone hit .333 (5-for-15) with three RBI, one double and one run as Mercy went 3-3 on the week. The freshman went 1-for-3 with a run in the game one win over D'Youville on Saturday. Perrone then went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a two-run walk-off RBI single in the seventh inning to give Mercy a 6-5 come-from-behind win in game two against D'Youville. The freshman ended the week going 2-for-3 with an RBI in the game two win over Jefferson on Sunday. 

Megan Wegel, Molloy
Sophomore, Outfield, North Babylon, NY

Wegel posted a .417 batting average this past week, recording a .917 slugging percentage and a .462 on base percentage on five hits and one walk. In game one of a doubleheader against Bridgeport, Wegel went 3-for-3 at the plate, all of which were doubles, and drove in one run. Against Wilmington, the sophomore hit her first career home run.

Nellie Donahue, Queens
Freshman, Pitcher, Levittown, NY

Rookie Nellie Donahue continued to lead the way in the circle, making two starts this week and tossing 13.0 innings. She allowed 13 hits and four earned runs while walking five and striking out 15 batters.Despite two tough 3-2 losses, Donahue kept her team in both contests. The rookie recorded a career-high eight strikeouts against SCSU on Wednesday, followed by a seven-strikeout performance against CSI, where the visitors pushed across the go-ahead run in the top of the sixth inning.

Lauren Falk, St. Thomas Aquinas
Sophomore, Pitcher, Highlands Ranch, CO

Falk made her ECC debut in impressive fashion, with a four-hit 4-0 shutout win over Mercy. She also tossed an 8-0 shutout victory over Caldwell. The sophomore pitcher finished the week with a 2-2 record, a 1.33 ERA and 15 strikeouts.

Trinadey Santiago, St. Thomas Aquinas
Senior, 3B, Cheshire, CT

Santiago helped the Spartans to a 4-2 week with a .524 (11-for-21) batting average and outstanding all-around play. The STAC senior scored seven runs, drove in five RBI, stroked a home run and a double, and was walked once in games against Mercy, D'Youville and Caldwell.

Marena Grenier, Staten Island
Junior, Pitcher, Clayton, NY

Made two appearances in the circle for the Dolphins and posted career high numbers in the Tuesday game against Holy Family. She pitched a complete game against the Tigers and recorded a career-high of 10 strikeouts. In the week she went 1-1 in the circle with two complete games. 

Bridget Motley, Staten Island
Junior, 2B, Staten Island, NY

In the four game week, the junior went 4-8 (.500) at the plate with two doubles, and four RBI. Her best outing in the week was on 3/24 when she went 3-3 at the plate against Holy Family with three RBI and two doubles. 

Abbie Morris, Staten Island
Junior, OF, Sydney, Australia

Made four appearances in the week for the Dolphins and went 6-13 (.461) at the plate with one run and two RBI.
