Co-Players of the Week

Steve Mulqueen, Molloy
Sophomore, Right Field, Wantagh, NY
Mulqueen continued to thrive in the clean-up spot for the Lions in a 3-1 week. The sophomore hit .529 and slugged 1.118 in a week that saw him collect home runs in three consecutive games and three multi-hit games. It began on Tuesday against Dominican when the right fielder connected for a home run enroute to a career-high five-rbi day while totaling three hits and two runs scored in Molloy's triumph. Friday afternoon at STAC, the Wantagh native hit another home run on his way to another five-RBI afternoon and tying a career-high four hits while scoring three times in the victory that clinched the ECC regular season title for the squad. The sophomore added his last home run of the week in game one Sunday afternoon with a two-run home in a two-hit day. On the week, Mulqueen totaled 12 RBI, nine hits, six runs, and three home runs.


Pitcher of the Week

Michael Vilardi, Queens
Junior, RHP/OF, Massapequa, NY
Junior Michael Vilardi contributed on both sides of a four-game ECC series split. In Friday's 8-2 victory, Vilardi threw his second complete game of the season and the first nine-inning outing of his career, limiting the Saints to five hits and two unearned runs while issuing three walks and striking out one batter. After D'Youville scored two unearned runs in the first, Vilardi retired eight consecutive batters and worked out of trouble in the fourth to preserve a one-run lead before Queens pulled away.


Rookie of the Week

Tate Van Alstyne, Mercy
Freshman, P, Chatham, NY
Van Alstyne pitched 3.0 innings of relief with no earned runs allowed and two strikeouts in game one against CSI on Saturday.


ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Jakob Denall, D'Youville
Sophomore, RHP, Clarence, NY
Denall had a career day on the mound in a 3-2 victory over Queens on Friday. He tossed a 7-inning complete game, recording a career-high 13 strikeouts, allowing 2 earned runs on five hits and only one walk. His 111 pitches continued to fool Knights hitters as he dominated in the win.
                                   
Billy Morris, D'Youville
Senior, Utility, Lancaster, NY
Billy Morris had yet another brilliant weekend, pitching a combined 6.2 innings with 11 strikeouts in the 4-game series with Queens. Morris earned a three-out save in the 2-1 victory on Sunday, his second appearance on the mound for the weekend. He also contributed with the bat, finishing 8/17 with a triple, an RBI, and 5 runs scored.              
 
Ty Graczyk, D'Youville
Sophomore, LHP, Buffalo, NY
Graczyk recorded career highs in innings pitched (7) and strikeouts (7) in a 2-1 victory over Queens College on Sunday. Graczyk was dealing all afternoon, earning the win and leading the Saints to the lone victory of the day.                       
 
Ryan DiNapoli, Mercy
Sophomore, Pitcher, Yorktown Heights, NY
DiNapoli pitched a nine-inning complete game shutout with just seven hits allowed to earn the win in Mercy's 7-0 win over CSI on Sunday. The sophomore needed just 97 pitches to become the first Mercy pitcher to toss a nine-inning complete game shutout since 2017.                          
 
Dylan Koch, Mercy
Junior, SS/3B, Yorktown Heights, NY
Koch hit .438 (7-for-16) with a team-high five runs, five RBI and a home run as Mercy went 2-2 on the week. The junior went 2-for-4 with two runs and a stolen base in the win over CSI on Thursday. Koch then went 3-for-7 with four RBI, a home run and a run in the doubleheader against CSI on Friday. The junior ended the week going 2-for-5 with two runs and an RBI in the win over CSI on Sunday.                       
 
Kolongi Goins, Mercy
Senior, OF, Poughkeepsie, NY
Goins hit a team-high .500 (6-for-12) with four runs, one RBI and one stolen base as Mercy went 2-2 on the week. The senior went 1-for-3 in the win over CSI on Thursday and went 3-for-5 with three runs in the doubleheader against CSI on Friday. Goins ended the week going 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in the win over CSI on Sunday.                                
David Bernard Jr., Mercy
Senior, 1B, Schenectady, NY
Bernard Jr. hit .429 (6-for-14) with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI as Mercy went 2-2 on the week. The senior opened the week going 3-for-4 with an RBI, a run, and a double in the win over CSI on Thursday. The first baseman then went 2-for-7 with an RBI and a double in the doubleheader against CSI on Friday. Bernard Jr. ended the week going 1-for-3 with a run in the win over CSI on Sunday.
                                                          
James Sill, Molloy
Junior, Pitcher, Levittown, NY
Sill was nearly perfect in Molloy's victory over STAC on Friday. The right-hander began the contest with four perfect innings on his way to seven innings of shutout baseball, allowing just one hit and striking out seven while facing just two above the minimum to pick up his sixth win of the campaign.

Graduate Student, Pitcher, Hicksville, NY
Kiss improved to 6-1 Sunday afternoon at STAC, tossing six shutout innings and striking out two.                          
 
Jeremy Taggart, Molloy
Senior, Catcher, Levittown, NY
Taggart thrived in three starts this week for the Lions. The senior collected a two-RBI, three-run game Tuesday against Dominican before driving in a career-high five runs as part of a three-hit day in Molloy's victory on Friday at STAC that clinched the regular season title for the Lions. On the week, Taggart hit .500 and got on base at a .615 clip while totaling seven RBI, five hits, four runs, and two walks.                      
                                   
Vincent Mallon, Queens
Senior, OF, Massapequa, NY
In a key four-game ECC series split, senior Vincent Mallon batted .333 with a .579 on-base percentage and .583 slugging percentage. He tallied four hits, including one home run, while driving in three runs, scoring five times, and drawing six walks against D'Youville. On Sunday, Mallon recorded a team-leading 17th multi-hit game and 10th multi-RBI game of the season, finishing with four hits, four runs scored, and three RBIs across the doubleheader. In the game four victory, he launched his team-leading 11th home run of the year, becoming the first Queens College player since the 1998 season to reach 11 home runs in a single season.
                                   
Johnny Dezago, Queens
Senior, RHP, Howard Beach, NY
In relief on Sunday, senior Johnny Dezago matched a season-best with 5.0 innings pitched, holding the Saints to three hits, two runs, and two walks while tying a season-high with six strikeouts to earn his third win of the year. Dezago delivered two clean innings during his outing as the Knights rallied for an 11-6 victory to keep their postseason hopes alive.                   
 
Joshua Mccormick, St. Thomas Aquinas
Senior, Outfield, Drexel Hill, PA
Mccormick batted .400 (4-for-10), with a double, an RBI and a run scored in three games against Molloy last week.                                 
 
Jack Kehoe, Staten Island
Sophomore, Outfield, Staten Island, NY
The sophomore notched his 100th career hit against Mercy on Sunday after leading the team with two hits. In the week, Kehoe went 7-13 (.538) at the plate with four runs and four walks. He also pitched on the mound against the Mavericks on Friday while only surrendering one hit throughout his 1.2 innings pitched and striking out one to secure the doubleheader sweep on senior day.                    
 
Jaden Waterman, Staten Island
Graduate, OF, Colonie, NY
The graduate student had a stellar performance against the Mavericks on Friday during game one's event. He was a triple shy of hitting for a cycle with a home run, a double, and a single. In game one against the Mavericks, he went 3-5 at the plate with five RBI, backed by a go-ahead grand slam, with two runs.
