Player of the Week

Charlie Imhof, Molloy
Junior | Outfield | Merrick, NY 
Imhof was a catalyst in the heart of the Molloy lineup in a 4-0 week for the Lions. The junior hit .400, slugged .733 while collecting three multi-RBI games. It began Friday when Imhof collected two hits and two RBI. The weekend was highlighted in game one of a doubleheader Saturday afternoon, when the junior blasted a grand slam in the bottom of the eighth to break a 2-2 time, putting the Lions up for good. The junior capped Saturday with three runs, two hits, and two RBI in game two. On the week, Imhof drove in eight runs, scored four times, walked twice, tripled, and homered.


Pitcher of the Week

Nevin Scaperotti, Mercy
Junior | P | Stormville, NY 
Scaperotti pitched 8.0 shutout innings with just two hits allowed and nine strikeouts to earn the win in game one against D'Youville on Friday. 


Rookie of the Week

Geneo Savoca, Mercy
Freshman | Pitcher/Infield | Albany, NY

Savoca hit .375 (6-for-16) with a team-high seven runs to go with two RBI, two stolen bases and one triple as Mercy went 3-2 on the week. The sophomore also pitched 3.0 innings on the mound in two appearances with a 3.00 ERA and one strikeout. Savoca opened the week going 3-for-5 with two runs and an RBI in the game one win at D'Youville on Friday. The sophomore then went 1-for-2 with a run in game two. Savoca went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run in the win at D'Youville on Saturday and scored three runs in the win at D'Youville on Sunday. Savoca also pitched 2.0 scoreless innings of relief with one strikeout in the win on Sunday. 


ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Anthony Consiglio, D'Youville
Freshman | C | Akron, NY

Consiglio saw his first collegiate starts over the weekend against Mercy, starting at DH and Catcher for 3 games. He was able to record 5 hits in 9 at bats, including a double and 2 RBIs. The highlight was a 3-4 outing at the plate where he recorded a double from the DH spot. It was a great weekend for the Saints newcomer at the plate as he paced DYU on offense.

Kolongi Goins, Mercy
Senior | OF | Poughkeepsie, NY

Goins hit .471 (8-for-17) with five runs, three doubles, four RBI and two stolen bases as Mercy went 3-2 on the week. The senior opened the week going 1-for-3 with two runs against Felician on Tuesday. The outfielder then went 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI in the game one win at D'Youville on Friday. Goins went 2-for-3 with two RBI, two doubles and one run in the win at D'Youville on Saturday. The senior ended the week going 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run in the win at D'Youville on Sunday. 

Zach Ashline, Mercy
Senior | OF | Colonie, NY

Ashline hit .364 (8-for-22) with a team-high seven RBI to go with a home run, four runs, one double, and two triples as Mercy went 3-2 on the week. The senior opened the week going 1-for-3 with two RBI against Felician on Tuesday. The outfielder then went 1-for-5 with a run in the game one win at D'Youville on Friday. Ashline then went 1-for-5 with an RBI in the win at D'Youville on Saturday. The senior ended the week hitting for the cycle, going 5-for-6 with four RBI, three runs, a double, a triple and a home run in the win at D'Youville on Sunday. 

Thomas Charlwood, Molloy
Junior | Pitcher | Lindenhurst, NY

Charlwood picked up his first win of the season on Sunday, tossing five hitless innings allowing one unearned run while facing just four over the minimum.

Sean Welsh, Molloy
Senior | 1B | East Meadow, NY

Welsh continued to thrive in Molloy's 4-0 week. The senior hit .471 (8-for-17), scored seven times, drove in two, doubled, and homered while slugging .706 and getting on base at a .526 clip. The junior fell a triple shy of the cycle on Friday, connected for his sixth home run of the season as aprt of a four-hit day where he scored three times and drove in two runs.

Michael Vilardi, Queens
Junior | Utility | Massapequa, N.Y.

Junior right-hander Michael Vilardi matched a season-best performance on the mound against Molloy on Saturday. Earning a no-decision, Vilardi delivered seven strong innings, allowing six hits and two earned runs while issuing one walk and tying a season-high with five strikeouts.

Vincent Mallon, Queens
Senior | RF | Massapequa, NY

Senior right fielder Vincent Mallon led the Knights’ offense, batting .313 with a .476 on-base percentage and an .813 slugging percentage. He recorded five hits, including a triple and two home runs, while drawing four walks, driving in four RBI, and scoring a team-high seven runs. The senior totaled 13 bases, highlighted by three extra-base hits.

Ryan Hillery, St. Thomas Aquinas
R-Sophomore | 2B | West Sayville, NY

Hillery helped the Spartans to a 2-1 week with a .500 (5-for-10) batting average and spectacular all-around play. The STAC redshirt sophomore scored a pair of runs, drove in three RBI, stroked a double and was walked three times in games against Staten Island.

Michael Furst, Staten Island
Junior | P | Oceanside, NY

In his lone start of the week against STAC on Thursday, he pitched 5.0 strong innings with three strikeouts. On the mound, he only surrendered one run to improve his ERA to 5.09 in his first six appearances on the mound this season.

Jamel Vera, Staten Island
Junior | OF | Staten Island, NY

Had a huge week for the Dolphins during their three games versus St. Thomas Aquinas. In the Thursday night win, the junior led the team going 3-5 at the plate with three runs, two home runs, and seven RBI which tied the CSI baseball Division II record for most RBI in a single game. In the week, he went 5-11(.454) at the plate with six runs and a double on top of his two home runs. 

Brandon Bartick, Staten Island
Freshman | SS | Bohemia, NY

Had one of his best performances at the plate so far this season against the Spartans last week. On Thursday, the freshman went 2-3 at the plate with four runs, three RBI, while notching his first collegiate career home run. 

Vincent Weigele, Staten Island
Senior | 3B | Staten Island, NY

Weigele joined the 100 hit club for the CSI baseball team on Thursday night against the Spartans. In that event, he went 4-5 with three runs and four RBI. In the week, he ended up going 4-9 (.444) at the plate with three runs, four RBI, and one walk.

Jason Romance, Staten Island
Freshman | 1B | Massapequa Park, NY

In the three game week, the freshman went .500 (6-12) at the plate with two RBI and one run.
