ECC Outdoor Track and Field Report - Week 1

Men's Track Athlete of the Week

Quinten John, Molloy
Sophomore | North Babylon, NY

Sophomore Quinten John competed in the 400-meter at the Army Open this past weekend where he ran to a personal-best time of 51.01 en route to a second-place finish. The 400-meter included 12 participants. John topped Division I competitors in the effort.
 


Men's Field Athlete of the Week

Djurabe Edmond, Molloy
Freshman | Westbury, NY

Freshman Djurabe Edmond dethroned a program record that had stood since 2013 this past weekend at the Army Open (Mar. 20), hosted at West Point. Edmond put forth his personal best shot put of 13.64 meters. Edmond placed seventh among eleven competitors.


Women's Track Athlete of the Week

Cameron Campo, Molloy
Freshman | Mount Sinai, NY

Freshman Cameron Campo made her debut in the 800-meter this past weekend at the Army Open (Mar. 20), hosted at West Point. To begin the outdoor season Campo secured a third-place finish with a time of 2:31.36.
 


Women's Field Athlete of the Week

Leanne Richardson, Molloy
Freshman | Floral Park, NY

Freshman Leanne Richardson made her debut in the javelin this past weekend at the Army Open (Mar. 20), hosted at West Point. Richardson recorded a top throw of 20.72 meters, which was good for fourth-place. 


ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Women's
Marie Naudus, Molloy
Graduate Student 

Graduate student Marie Naudus made an impressive debut in the 5000-meter this past weekend at the Army Open, hosted at West Point. Naudus completed the 5000-meter with a time of 17:51.23 on her way to a third-place finish. Naudus was able to top Division I competitors in the event.
