Player of the Week

Ne'veah Buntley, Daemen
Sophomore | Forward | Rochester, N.Y.

Buntley averaged 28.0 points, 3.0 steals, and 5.0 rebounds per game, helping Daemen earn two wins over the weekend. On Friday at UDC, Buntley scored 22 points and recorded two steals, leading the offensive charge with nine field goals, including 3-of-5 shooting from beyond the arc. She also grabbed four rebounds and dished out an assist. On Sunday at CSI, the sophomore scored a career-high 34 points, shooting 8-for-8 from the free-throw line, and recorded four steals while grabbing six rebounds. The forward made a career-best 12 field goals. Buntley's scoring helped the Wildcats erase an early 20-point deficit, forcing the game into overtime to earn the victory.


Defensive Player of the Week

Kyleigh Chapman, Daemen
Sophomore | Guard | Canandaigua, N.Y.

Chapman averaged 3.0 steals, 1.5 blocks, and 7.0 rebounds per game in two Daemen wins over the weekend. On Friday during the Wildcats' win at UDC, the sophomore added defensive intensity, recording a career-high six steals. She also tallied two blocks while collecting nine rebounds, including eight defensive rebounds. Chapman also scored two points and dished out two assists. On Sunday at CSI, Chapman grabbed five rebounds, recorded one block, and scored three points. 


Co-Rookie of the Week

Molly O'Toole, D'Youville
Freshman | Guard | Rochester, N.Y.

O'Toole recorded 40 total points on the weekend including leading the Saints offense on Friday with 26 points in their win against CSI. The Freshman shot 82% overall and 86% from the three-point line against the Dolphins. 

Le'Asia Todd, District of Columbia
Freshman | Forward | Cambridge, Md. 

Todd averaged 12.0 points, 12.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.0 blocks ,in a 1-1 week for the Firebirds.Against No. 13 Daemen, Todd pulled down a game-high 16 rebounds while scoring eight points on 4-of-6 shooting. She also contributed three assists and two blocks. Todd followed with a dominant outing in UDC’s 70–62 win over D’Youville, finishing with 16 points on a perfect 5-of-5 from the field and 6-of-6 from the free-throw line. She added nine rebounds and three assists, helping lead the Firebirds to the victory and a split of the season series.


ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Aiyana Ellis, District of Columbia
Graduate Student | Forward | King George, Va.

Aiyana Ellis delivered a strong all-around performance to help lead the Firebirds to a 70–62 victory over D’Youville, impacting the game on both ends of the floor. Ellis finished with a team-high 18 points, shooting 6-of-11 from the field, while adding eight rebounds, four assists, and three blocks. 

Angelina Barrera, Mercy
Senior | Forward | Gloucester City, N.J.

Barrera averaged 12.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game on 76.9 percent shooting as Mercy went 1-1 on the week. The senior opened the week with eight points, three rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal against Felician on Thursday. The forward ended the week with a team-high 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting with seven rebounds, three assists and three steals in the win over Roberts Wesleyan on Sunday. 

Grace Lesko, Mercy
Junior | Forward | Northampton, Pa.

Lesko averaged a team-high 13.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game with 2.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game as Mercy went 1-1 on the week. The junior opened the week with 12 points, five rebounds, one assist and two steals against Felician on Thursday. The forward ended the week with a double-double by way of 15 points and 11 rebounds to go with three assists, two steals and one block in the win over Roberts Wesleyan on Sunday. 

Colleen McCullagh, Molloy
Senior | Forward | New Hyde Park, N.Y.

McCullagh continued to lead the way  for the Lions, averaging 23.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week. In league play, the senior just missed a double-double with 24 points and nine rebounds in a 78-53 win over Queens College. Against a tough Assumption team, McCullagh ended the week with 23 points, four rebounds, and assist, and a steal. 

Rosa Rizzitelli, Molloy
Senior | Guard | Derby, Conn.

Rizzitelli was a consistent contributor in a 1-1 week for Molloy, averaging 8.5 rebounds, 8.0 assists, 7.5 points, and 2.5 steals per game for the Lions. The senior put up 10 assist and 10 rebounds in a conference win over Queens College, adding four steals. 

Aniyah Jones, Roberts Wesleyan
Freshman | Guard | Williamsville, N.Y.

Freshman Aniyah Jones put together a pair of double-digit scoring efforts with 13 points against St. Thomas Aquinas and another 19 points against Mercy. She added a total of 11 rebounds in the two games including seven against STAC.

Jada Mushat, Roberts Wesleyan
Freshman | Guard | Williamsville, N.Y.

Freshman Jada Mushat was one of the bright spots for Roberts in an 0-2 weekend road trip to New York City as she totaled 42 points, seven rebounds and 10 steals against St. Thomas Aquinas and Mercy. Against Mercy, she led all scorers with 27 points on 11-of-23 shooting from the field (.478) and added five rebounds and four steals.

Bailey Chapman, St. Thomas Aquinas
Redshirt Sophomore | Forward | Sparta, N.J.

Chapman averaged 18 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steal per game in two contests last week for STAC. The redshirt sophomore guard tallied nine points, grabbed four rebounds, dished out an assist and swiped two steals in 33 minutes in a 44-39 road win against Bridgeport before recording 27 points, three rebounds, three assists and a block in 34 minutes in a 92-71 home victory over Roberts Wesleyan. Bailey shot 55.0 percent (11-20) from the field, 63.6 percent (7-11) from beyond the arc and 70.0 percent (7-10) from the charity stripe.

Toni Schuetze, St. Thomas Aquinas
Freshman | Guard/Forward | Rossdorf, Germany

Schuetze averaged 11.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steal per game in two contests last week for STAC. The freshman guard/forward tallied four points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out two assists in 28 minutes in a 44-39 road win against Bridgeport before recording 18 points, three rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block in 30 minutes in a 92-71 home victory over Roberts Wesleyan. Toni shot 40.0 percent (6-15) from the field, 37.5 percent (3-8) from beyond the arc and 70.0 percent (7-10) from the charity stripe.

Shonyae Edmonds, Staten Island
Junior | Forward | Albany, N.Y.

Finished the week averaging shy of a double-double with 12.5 ppg and 9.0 rebounds per game with a week's best performance against Daemen with a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds. She collected a season high of four steals against the Wildcats and averaged 3.0 steals per game through two contest.

Dana Phelan, Staten Island
Senior | Guard | Tappan, N.Y.

Led the team in the week with 19.5 and averaged 5.0 three-point field goals made throughout the two-game week.
