Co-Player of the Week

Grace Lesko, Mercy
Junior | Forward | Northampton, Pa. 

Lesko averaged a team-high-tying 15.5 points per game and a team-high 9.5 rebounds per game to go with 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game as Mercy went 2-0 on the week. The junior opened the week with a double-double by way of 14 points and 15 rebounds to go with three assists, three steals and one block in Mercy's win at #13 Daemen on Friday. The forward ended the week with 17 points on 5-of-10 shooting with four rebounds, two assists and one steal in the win at D'Youville on Sunday. 

Rosa Rizzitelli, Molloy
Senior | Guard | Derby, Conn. 

Rizzitelli led the Lions to a 2-0 week, averaging 17.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 3.5 steals per game. The senior led with seven assists and five steals in an overtime victory at UDC before topping the team with nine rebounds, six assists, and two steals at Roberts Wesleyan. 


Defensive Player of the Week

Nkiru Awaka, Queens
Junior | Forward | Hyde Park, N.Y.

Junior Nkiru Awaka paced the Knights during a 1-1 week, averaging 15.5 points on 56.0 percent shooting, 10.0 rebounds, and 4.0 steals per game. The Hyde Park native opened the week with 10 points, nine rebounds, five steals, and one block against the Post University Eagles on Wednesday evening. On Sunday, in her 75th career appearance, Awaka delivered a career-best and ECC-leading 15th double-double of the season, recording a game-high 21 points on 69.2 percent shooting, 11 rebounds, and three steals as Queens completed the conference series sweep over the Roberts Wesleyan University Redhawks. Awaka also reached a major milestone in the third quarter, scoring her 1,000th career point and securing her place in the program record book.


Rookie of the Week

Le'Asia Todd, District of Columbia
Freshman | Forward | Cambridge, Md. 

Todd anchored the Firebirds’ defense in a 1–1 week, averaging 15.5 rebounds, including a dominant presence on the defensive glass, along with 5.0 blocks and 2.0 steals per game. Her 24-rebound performance against Molloy — including 20 defensive rebounds — was one of the most dominant rebounding efforts in recent conference history, finishing just four rebounds shy of the ECC single-game record. She added five blocks in that contest, consistently altering shots and protecting the rim. Todd followed with another strong defensive showing in UDC’s win over Staten Island, recording five blocks and three steals, while controlling the paint throughout.


ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Claire Pikett, Daemen
Senior | Forward | Holland, N.Y.

Pikett averaged 3.5 blocks, 3.0 steals, and 5.0 rebounds per game while logging 11.0 points per game, helping the Wildcats go 1-1. Pikett posted three steals and three blocks while grabbing eight rebounds, including seven defensive rebounds, and scoring 13 points against Mercy on Friday. The senior tied her season high with four blocks, recorded three steals, and grabbed two rebounds in a win over STAC. She helped hold the Spartans to 50 points and 30.4% shooting from the field, including a 26.1% mark from three. Pikett also scored nine points to surpass the 1,000 career-point mark.  

Aliyah Eason, District of Columbia
Freshman | Guard | Fort Washington, Md. 

Eason delivered a breakout performance off the bench in UDC’s win over Staten Island, scoring a career- and game-high 30 points. Eason caught fire from beyond the arc, knocking down 6-of-9 three-point attempts, providing a major offensive spark that shifted momentum in the Firebirds’ favor. She also averaged 18.5 ppg on the week shooting 46% from the field.

Amani Abuhatab, Mercy
Junior | Guard | West Haven, Conn.

Abuhatab averaged a team-high-tying 15.5 points per game with 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.5 assists per game as Mercy went 2-0 on the week. The junior opened the week with 13 points, five rebounds, three steals and one assist in the win at #13 Daemen on Friday. The guard ended the week with a game-high 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting with four rebounds, two assists and one steal in the win at D'Youville on Sunday. 

Shermeela Ugbogbo, Molloy
Freshman | Center | Bronx, N.Y.

Ugbogbo averaged a double-double in a 2-0 week for Molloy at 12 points and 10 rebounds per game. The freshman put up 11 points and 14 rebounds while adding two blocks in an overtime win at UDC before adding 13 points, six boards, a steal and a block at Roberts Wesleyan. 

Jada Mushat, Roberts Wesleyan
Freshman | Guard | Williamsville, N.Y.

Freshman Jada Mushat had a solid weekend as she led Roberts with 32 total points (16 in each game), added six rebound and 14 huge steals including eight against Queens on Sunday. She is currently tied for second in the conference with 2.7 steals per game.

Shonyae Edmonds, Staten Island
Junior | Guard | Albany, N.Y.

Led the team with a double-double against UDC on Saturday with 16 points and 12 rebounds while also recording 2 blocks. The junior shot 50% (6-12) from the field and 80% (4-5) from the freethrow line.
