Mercy's Smith and Osorio Selected to Play in USILA Division I/II Senior All-Star Game

DOBBS FERRY, NY – Mercy University men's lacrosse senior Ryan Smith (Bethpage, N.Y./Bethpage) and graduate student Jimmy Osorio (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Newberry College) have been selected to participate in the 2025 USILA Division I/II Senior All-Star Game on Friday, May 23rd at 6:30 p.m. at Roger Williams University. Smith and Osorio will be playing for the North team.

Smith was named USILA Second Team All-Region earlier this week. The senior was named First Team All-ECC after being named ECC Offensive Player of the Week once. The midfielder was second on the team with 46 points on 22 goals and 24 assists. Smith led the team in assists and is second in points. The senior was fourth in the ECC in assists and second in assists per game (1.71). The midfielder had a season-high nine points on six goals and three assists in the win over Georgian Court on February 18th.

Osorio was tabbed USILA Second Team All-Region and USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American Honorable Mention. The ECC Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-ECC recipient topped the conference in both goals per game (3.57, third nationally) and points per game (4.50, 18th nationally), Osorio put up 63 points on 50 goals and 13 assists this spring. In ECC play, the Mercy graduate student attackman topped the conference in total goals (25) and points (29), posting multi-goal efforts in all six games, including six against Roberts Wesleyan, five against District of Columbia and Frostburg State, four against St. Thomas Aquinas, three against Molloy, and two against D'Youville. All four of his helpers on the season also came across those six conference games.
