In an undefeated 3-0 week for the Knights, Foix Sotos went 4-0 with three singles victories at No. 1 court and one doubles win at No. 3 court. Foix Sotos began the week with a 2-0 day against Jefferson, earning a victory at No. 3 doubles with partner Loup Alleno to the score of 6-0 over Ayan Mehra and Johary Rabetrano before concluding his day with a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Mario Antonio at No. 1 singles. In the victory over Chestnut Hill, the QC junior earned a 7-5, 6-4 victory at No. 1 court over Pablo Cervera before concluding with a three-set ECC victory at No. 1 over Daemen’s Juan Alvarez to the score of 6-3, 6-7 (6-8), 1-0 (10-8).

Rookie of the Week

Erik Victor Tauson, St. Thomas Aquinas
Freshman | Malmo, Sweden
Tauson went 4-0 with an undefeated week at No. 3 doubles and No. 4 singles in a 2-0 week for the Spartans. In the 6-1 win over Jefferson, Tauson teamed up with Ondrej Sramek to defeat their opponents, 6-4, before going on to defeat Antonio Mateos Melenchon 6-7 (2), 6-4, 6-2. In the 6-1 win over UDC, the STAC freshman and Sramek downed their opponents, 6-2, before going on to defeat Elouan Queguiner, 6-4, 6-3.

Honor Roll

Loup Alleno, Queens
Sophomore | Paris, France
Alleno went 3-0 in non-conference play, earning a doubles victory at No. 3 and two singles victories at No. 2 court. In the victory over Jefferson, Alleno started the day with a 6-0 shutout victory over Ayan Mehra and Johary Rabetrano with partner Lucas Foix Sotos before concluding his afternoon with a 7-5, 6-4 victory over Anthony Moukarzel at No. 2 court. The sophomore concluded his week with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Chestnut Hill’s Filippo Relecom at No. 2 court to remain undefeated at 8-0 against Division II foes in singles action. 

Alexis Martin-Gibiard, Queens
Junior | Saint-Remy-de-Provence, France
In an undefeated 3-0 week for the Knights, Martin-Gibiard went 4-0 with a singles victory at No. 4 court and three doubles victories with three different partners at courts No. 1 and No. 2. The French native began the week earning a 2-0 afternoon against Jefferson starting with a 6-4 victory over Jules Thibault and Antonio Mateos Melenchon with partner Adam Laur before he concluded his afternoon with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Melenchon at No. 4 singles court. On Wednesday against Chestnut Hill, the junior and partner Samuel Linck earned a 6-4 victory over Pablo Cervera and Ewan Brown at No. 1 court. Martin-Gibiard concluded his undefeated week with an ECC No. 1 doubles victory with partner Caleb Brightman with a 6-3 victory over Juan Alvarez and Jayvan Williamson. 

Seth Newman, St. Thomas Aquinas
Sophomore | Cambridge, England
Newman went 3-1 with an undefeated week at No. 1 and No. 2 singles in a 2-0 week for the Spartans. In the 6-1 win over Jefferson, Newman teamed up with Henry Ronnberg to defeat their opponents, 6-2, before going on to defeat Anthony Moukarzel 6-4, 6-3. In the 6-1 win over UDC, the STAC sophomore defeated Louis Mangeon, 6-4, 6-3.

Louka Queguiner, District of Columbia
Senior | La Ciotat, France
Queguiner went 2-0 against St Thomas Aquinas. The UDC senior teamed up with Louis Mangeon to defeat their opponents 7-6(5) at No. 1 doubles before going on to defeat Lorenzo Meschini 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2 singles. 

Ondrej Sramek, St. Thomas Aquinas
Junior | Trebechovice pod Orebem, Czech Republic
Sramek went 4-0 with an undefeated week at No. 3 doubles and No. 5 singles in a 2-0 week for the Spartans. In the 6-1 win over Jefferson, Sramek teamed up with Erik Victor Tauson to defeat their opponents, 6-4, before going on to defeat Enrique Soto Ballester 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. In the 6-1 win over UDC, the STAC junior and Tauson beat their opponents, 6-2, before going on to defeat Sebastiano Palma 6-1, 6-2.
