East Coast Conference Announces Men’s Tennis All-Conference Selections

Queens’ Lucas Foix Sotos Named Player of the Year

COLONIA, NJ – The East Coast Conference (ECC) is proud to announce the 2026 Men’s Tennis All-Conference selections and major award winners ahead of this weekend’s ECC Championships at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
 
Queens College’s Lucas Foix Sotos (Javea, Spain) has been named Player of the Year. His coach, Somadi Druker, along with St. Thomas Aquinas head coach Daniel Rockhill, earned Co-Coach of the Year honors.
 
Sotos posted a 14-7 record at the No. 1 singles position, good for a .750 winning percentage, including a 4-1 mark in ECC play. He also went 3-1 in tournament competition and recorded three first singles victories against Division I opponents. Sotos advanced to the ITA Regional semifinals. In doubles, he compiled a 13-10 overall record, including a 5-1 mark in conference play, competing across all three doubles positions.
 
Druker led the Knights to a 20-2 overall record and a share of the ECC Regular Season Championship with a 5-1 conference mark. Queens earned the top seed in the ECC Championship via tiebreak criteria. Rockhill guided the Spartans to a 16-4 overall record and a share of the regular season title, also finishing 5-1 in conference play.
 
Joining Sotos on the All-Conference team are Queens teammates Tim Andersson (Linköping, Sweden) and Alexis Martin-Gibiard (Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France). St. Thomas Aquinas selections include Lorenzo Meschini (Rome, Italy), Theo Renoux (Aix-en-Provence, France), and Henry Ronnberg (Åhus, Sweden).
 
The ECC Men’s Tennis Championship begins Friday at 1 p.m., as No. 3 District of Columbia faces No. 2 St. Thomas Aquinas. The winner will take on top-seeded Queens on Saturday at 1 p.m. All matches will be played on Courts 11–16 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
