Bowler of the Week
Olivia Hillman, Bryant
Sophomore | Attleboro, Mass.
Hillman was critical in the success of the Bulldogs at the Hawk Classic, their last tournament of the first semester. She had an overall strike percentage of 46% for baker and 56% for team. The Bryant sophomore averaged 20.05 for baker and 21.32 for team, finishing 32nd overall individually against the top teams in the country with an ECC-best 20.69 pins-per-overall-frame average. Hillman also shot 289 with 10 strikes in a row against Monmouth to help her team shoot 1094 and catch a win. She was also 100% on single pin spare conversions for baker on the weekend, along with a 96% on makeable spares.
Rookie of the Week
Tiffany Wong, Adelphi
Sophomore | Valley Stream, N.Y.
Amongst a talented field at the UMES Hawk Classic, Wong finished as the second-leading bowler in the ECC. The Adelphi sophomore led the squad with a 198.6 traditional average and shot three 200 games, including a 226 that helped knock off #12 nationally-ranked UMES. Wong averaged a season-high 9.18 pins on her first ball and impressively converted half her traditional throws for strikes. As the team's anchor bowler, Wong averaged a 223.3 in the 10th frame alone and made more than three-quarters of her makeable spare attempts (19-of-25) over the weekend, converting 12-of-16 (75.0 percent) single-pin spares along the way.
ECC Weekly Honor Roll
Callie Goulet, Saint Anselm
Freshman | Bellingham, Mass.
Goulet had an impressive performance for Saint Anselm at the Lady Eagles Invitational hosted by Coppin State University. She placed 24th overall on the first day of traditional play, averaging 166.60 pins per game and knocking down 833 total pins. She would later help the team pick up three victories during baker play posting her best game of the day against hosts Coppin State with a score of 190.
Ashley Hardy, Molloy
Sophomore | Liverpool, N.Y.
Hardy spearheaded the Lions at the Coppin State Lady Eagles Invitational. The Molloy sophomore finished third in traditional play, shooting a 962 five-game series, and collected the highest game of the tournament, shooting 244 in game one. The 962 series was good to average 192.4 and earn her a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
Ruth Magaña, Saint Anselm
Senior | Federal Way, Wash.
Magaña was a top performer for Saint Anselm at the Coppin State Lady Eagles Invitational. On the first day of traditional play, she cracked the top-10 of the individual standings after knocking down 903 pins, averaging 180.60 per game, to capture ninth overall out of 79 competitors. She was also the only Hawk to post a 200-plus game throughout the entire competition.
Maggie Thompson, Bryant
Thompson was solid for the Bulldogs at the Hawk Classic, averaging a consistent 17.97. She also played a crucial role in catching a win against nationally-ranked FDU.
