Adelphi, Molloy advance to second day of ECC Women's Bowling Championships

HACKENSACK, N.J. – Adelphi and Molloy advanced to Saturday after Day 1 action at the 2026 East Coast Conference Bowling Championships, hosted by Molloy at Bowler City.

In the first bracket, Molloy went a perfect 3-0, defeating St. Anselm and Daemen, with the second win eliminating the Wildcats.

In the second bracket, Adelphi scored wins over St. Thomas Aquinas and two wins over D’Youville to advance.

Saturday’s matchups will feature top-seed Bryant versus Adelphi, while second-seed Kutztown takes on third-seed Molloy.

Bracket 1 (Baker Best-of-7)
In the opening match, Daemen defeated Saint Anselm 4-3, after trailing 3-1. In game 5, the Wildcats bowled a 169 to defeat Saint Anselm, who had a 160. The Wildcats won Game 6 and Game 7 by scores of 166-159 and 175-121.

Molloy won the second match of the day, eliminating Saint Anselm 4-2 (151-150, 178-179, 177-130, 188-195, 211-144, and 181-138).

Molloy then won match three over Daemen, 4-1, by scores of 181-143, 133-148, 165-162, 150-138, and 255-192. In match four, the Lions were victorious 4-1, winning by scores of 177-164, 180-189, 175-167, 180-164, and 200-196.

Bracket 2 (Baker Best-of-7)
The first match saw Adelphi blank St. Thomas Aquinas 4-0, winning by scores of 184-112, 165-117, 192-126 an 150-111.

In match 2, D’Youville defeated Roberts Wesleyan by a 4-3 score. Roberts won the first game 151-105, before D’Youville came back with a 223 to win game two 223-126. Roberts would take game three at 155-140, before D’Youville again pulled even in game 4 at 178-157. In game five, D’Youville won 162-132, before Roberts forced a game 7 with a 213-161 win. In the deciding seventh game, D’Youville won 188-146.

In match three, Roberts blanked STAC 4-0 by scores of 178-112, 159-112, 144-126, and 165-104.

Match four saw Adelphi defeat D’Youville 4-1 by scores of 156-144, 187-179, 185-177, 198-198, and 240-192.

In match five, D’Youville defeated Roberts by a score of 4-2, winning the last three games by scores of 166-154, 171-163, and 209-147.

In match six, Adelphi defeated D’Youville by a score of 4-2. Adelphi took a 3-0 lead by scores of 165-146, 193-157, and 193-146 before D’Youville won games 4 and 5 by scores of 200-182 and 183-168. Adelphi won the match 209-138 in game 6.

Saturday’s matchups will be a Megamatch Best of Three, comprised of a Traditional 5-person game, Baker Total Pinfall, and a Best-of-7 Baker.
