INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Daemen University men’s basketball team sits atop the NCAA Division II East Region rankings which were released on Wednesday afternoon.

The Wildcats are one of three teams appearing in this week’s poll.

St. Thomas Aquinas College is ranked eighth while the College of Staten Island appears in ninth.

On the women’s side, Daemen University is ranked fourth while the Mercy University women’s team is ranked eighth.

All five teams will compete in their respective East Coast Conference Championship tournaments next week.
