ECC Women's Bowling Report - Week Five

Co-Bowlers of the Week

Madison Brenneman, Kutztown
Senior | York, Pa.

With a fourth-place individual finish, Brenneman led the Golden Bears to a first-place team finish at the Golden Bear Invitational this weekend en route to All-Tournament Team honors. The senior led Kutztown to an 8-2 record on the weekend, which included a defeat of No. 23 Delaware State. Brenneman bowled a 193 pinfall average over five traditional games on Saturday, including a day-high 237 in the fourth match victory over #23 Delaware State and a 218-pin performance in the second match against Holy Family. The senior bowler struck on 48 percent of traditional attempts (24/50) while converting spares in nearly 70 percent of remaining frames and averaged an 84 percent fill percentage in both baker and traditional competition. Brenneman moved all around the lineup in baker play on Sunday, rolling 11 of her frames in the leadoff, setup, or anchor bowler positions.

Olivia Hillman, Bryant 
Senior | Attleboro, Mass.

Hillman posted another strong weekend, helping the Bulldogs go 8-2 at the Niagara University Brunswick Fall Open en route to an ECC-leading 21.37 frame average. Finishing second individually, Hillman made the All-Tournament Team with a total pinfall of 1,045, averaging 209 on Saturday. The Bryant senior also helped her team catch a win against nationally ranked No. 25 Niagara on Sunday, averaging 21.83 for the day, with a strike percentage of 55.8 and 100 percent on single pin spares. 


Rookie of the Week

Madison Lewis, Bryant
Freshman | Freehold, N.J.

Lewis played a key role for Bryant at the Niagara University Brunswick Fall Open this past weekend. On Saturday, she finished 12th overall individually with a total pinfall of 964 and an average of 192.80. Lewis also played a key role in the win over nationally ranked No. 25 Niagara, averaging 17.87 on Sunday with an overall fill percentage of 83.3. 


ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Kamryn Brenneman, Kutztown
Sophomore | York, Pa.

Brenneman finished 13th in the field of 63 bowlers at this weekend's Golden Bear Invite, averaging 176 pins per game in traditional play with a day-high 189 in games 3 and 4 against Caldwell and No. 23 Delaware State. The Kutztown sophomore helped lead the Golden Bears to an 8-2 record on the weekend, defeating No. 23 Delaware State and claiming the top spot at the home tournament after defeating Dominican, 4-1. Brenneman notched a 74 percent fill mark in traditional play, converting nearly 60 percent of her spares in Saturday's competition, and filled in as the leadoff bowler for a majority of Sunday's baker competition, averaging an 84 percent fill rate that included a near 9-pin per ball mark on her first ball and a 70 percent spare conversion rate.

Sabrina Palmer, Daemen
Junior | Waterloo, N.Y.

Palmer led the Wildcats during the traditional matches at the Niagara Fall Open, posting an average score of 196.50. The Daemen junior recorded 26 strikes and helped the Wildcats defeat Pitt-Bradford on Day 1. She also helped the Daemen to victories over D'Youville and Penn State Behrend on Day 2.
