ECC Women's Bowling Report - Week Nine

Bowler of the Week

Olivia Hillman, Bryant 
Senior | Attleboro, Mass.

Olivia was the Bulldogs' rock this past weekend at the Northeast Classic, helping her team finish in the top 20 at one of biggest tournaments of the year. She averaged 21.07 for baker, and 18.76 for traditional. She was almost perfect on single pin spares, missing only one the entire weekend. She made many clutch shots on Sunday to help Bryant catch wins against other ranked teams like Kutztown and Delaware State. Overall, Olivia was consistent and a great representative of what it means to anchor your team.


Rookie of the Week

Madilyn Bogovic, Kutztown
Freshman | Mechanicsburg, Pa. 

Finished 40th out of a 229-bowler field at the Northeast Classic this past weekend, averaging 200.8 pins per game across five traditional games. She competed in the anchor role on all three days in her first outing of the 2025-26 season, opening the weekend by leading the team in three strong baker victories over No. 11 Sacred Heart, Daemen and Holy Family. In Saturday's traditional play, the rookie bowled a pair of 200-pin games, including a 238-day high mark against No. 10 Maryville. Helped the team to five wins - including a pair over ranked teams - at the three-day event to finish 22nd out of 36 teams.


ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Tiffany Wong, Adelphi
Senior | Valley Stream, N.Y.

Wong was Adelphi's top bowler, averaging 185 across five traditional matches. She also led the team in overall fill percentage in both traditional and Baker play, while posting the best average per frame.

Marissa Funk, Adelphi
Freshman | Boardman, Ohio

Funk was Adelphi's second highest bowler over the weekend, averaging 184.2. The freshman led the team in first-ball average and strike percentage in traditional play.

Cassidy Papero, Daemen
Junior | Cheektowaga, N.Y.

Papero logged a 178 average during the traditional format rounds at the Northeast Classic this past weekend. She placed 88th out of 229 bowlers from 39 teams. She recorded scores of 189, 198, 157, 169, and 177. She also helped Daemen earn wins over Howard, Molloy (twice), and LIU at the three-day tournament. 

Erica DeJesus, Adelphi
Junior | Levittown, N.Y.

DeJesus was excellent in Baker play, earning a 46.3% strike percentage and leading the team with 38 strikes. She was pivotal in Adelphi's upset win over No. 4 Nebraska.

Madison Lewis, Bryant
Freshman | Freehold, N.J.

Madison also had a consistent weekend, finishing 33rd individually on Saturday with an overall total pinfall of 1,024. She averaged 17.45 for baker for the weekend, playing a key role in winning matches on Sunday to help her team get to 20th overall. She also had a strike percentage of 50% on Saturday, with a single pin spare percentage of over 80% for the weekend.
