Apolline Lamy followed up with a straight-set win over Semmartin, 6-2, 6-3, at No. 4 to extend the Knights' lead, 3-1.
Down to singles action at No. 1, No. 2, and No. 6, the atmosphere in the Queens College Tennis Bubble was electric.
At No. 1, QC's Eva Rivoal went toe-to-toe with ECC Player and Rookie of the Year Anaya Brons, with Rivoal taking the first set, 7-6 (7-2), before Brons forced a third set with a 6-3 second-set win.
At No. 2, Makal earned a 6-3 victory over Silins before one of the most exciting sets of the night; Silins earned a back-and-forth, second-set victory to the score of 7-6 (9-7) to force the third set.
However, it would be All-ECC Second Teamer Regina Ruiz who would clinch the final point for the Knights at No. 6. Ruiz shut out fellow All-ECC Second Teamer Ombeline Robilliart in the first set, 6-0, before Robilliart came back with a 6-4, second-set victory. Ruiz bounced back with a convincing 6-0 win to end it.
