Player of the Week
Kitsa Scime, Daemen (Junior - Williamsville, N.Y.)
Scime went 2-0 at No. 2 singles and 1-1 at No. 1 doubles during a 1-1 week. The Daemen junior defeated Hui Jen Soo of Millersville, a All-PSAC selection last year, 6-2, 6-0. Scime has now won five of her last six singles matches and stands at 6-2 on the year.
Rookie of the Week
Maya Chon, Daemen (Freshman - Wichita, Kan.)
Chon went 1-1 at No. 5 singles and 2-0 at No. 2 doubles during a 1-1 week. The Daemen freshman teamed up with junior Yinett Del Leon to earn a 6-4 win at second doubles and suffered a tough loss to fellow rookie Lauren Hayes (7-5, 4-6, 6-10) against Millersville.
