WEST BABYLON, N.Y. – For the third consecutive year,
Queens, St. Thomas Aquinas, District of Columbia, and Daemen will battle in this year's version of the East Coast Conference Women's Tennis Championship that begins on Friday morning. The winner of the tournament will receive an automatic berth into the NCAA Division II Championship.

Queens College will once again serve as tournament host at their on-campus tennis center in Flushing, N.Y. First-serve comes on Friday, October 27 with two semifinal matchups. The winners will advance to the championship match on Saturday, October 28.
Queens (7-0, 5-0 ECC) won the conference's regular-season championship for the first time since the 2019 season to earn the tournament's top seed. The Knights have won the ECC Championship nine times and have advanced to the final of the tournament in 19 of the past 20 seasons.
No. 4 seed Daemen (5-6, 2-3 ECC) will be Queens' semifinal opponent. The Wildcats, making their fourth straight ECC Championship appearance, dropped their regular-season match to the Knights by a tally of 7-0 on October 20.
Defending ECC Champion St. Thomas Aquinas in the No. 2 seed, entering tournament play with a record of 7-1 (4-1 ECC). The Spartans captured their first-ever ECC Championship in program history with a 4-0 shutout victory over Queens last year.
Facing St. Thomas Aquinas in Friday's second semifinal will be No. 3 seed District of Columbia (6-2, 3-2 ECC). On October 9 of the regular-season, STAC earned a 5-2 victory over UDC. The Firebirds last claimed the ECC title in 2021.
Each match of the championship will be streamed live on the ECC Network.
