Jack Veletanga (Molloy)

Veletanga had the golden boot for the Lions in a 1-0-1 week. In Saturday's 2-1 triumph over D'Youville, Veletanga totaled a career-high four points on the back of a career-high two goals to lead the cardinal and white.
Defensive Player of the Week
Pau Ramon (Mercy)
Sr., D, Mallorca, Spain, Southeastern CC
Ramon scored the game-tying goal in the 73rd minute of Mercy's 2-1 win at Daemen on Saturday. He also helped lead a Mercy backline that posted a 0-0 draw at Wilmington on Wednesday.
Goalkeeper of the Week
Dante Muntane (St. Thomas Aquinas)
So., GK, Rosario, Argentina, Instituto La Inmaculada School
Muntane went 1-0-1 on the week, with a scoreless tie against Molloy and a 3-1 road victory over UDC. The sophomore goalkeeper stopped 12 of 13 total shots faced over two matches to record a 0.50 goals against average and a .923 save percentage on the week.
Rookie of the Week
Dylan Meadows (Staten Island)
Fr., F, Brooklyn, NY, Fort Hamilton High School
Meadows led the team in goals during the previous week, including in the Dolphins ECC win over Queens on Wednesday. The rookie recorded both of the Dolphin's goals to seal the 2-0 victory over the Knights and led all Dolphin goal scorers with four points in the week.

Carlos Romero Astacio (Staten Island)
Sr., GK, Santo Domingo, DR, Colegio Loyola
Earned the shutout against Queens College on Wednesday after recording 4 saves in 90-minutes in net. Against Roberts on Saturday, he also notched four saves and finished the previous week with a 1-1 record.
Sean Green (Mercy)
Gr., GK, Asheville, N.C., Lees-McRae College
Green went 1-0-1 in goal with six saves, a .857 save percentage and one shutout. The graduate student opened the week with two saves to earn the shutout in Mercy's 0-0 draw at Wilmington on Wednesday. Green ended the week with a game-high four saves to earn the win in the Mavericks' 2-1 win at Daemen on Saturday.
Callum Hunt (Molloy)
Jr., GK, Norwich, England, Old Buckenham
Hunt helped the Lions secure a scoreless draw against St. Thomas Aquinas on Wednesday (Sept. 23). The junior made a season-high six saves to collect his third clean sheet of the season.
Jacob Darwesh Lund-Iversen (Mercy)
Sr., F, Oslo, Norway, Maryville University
Lund-Iversen scored the game-winning goal in the 87th minute of Mercy's 2-1 win at Daemen on Saturday. The senior now has an ECC-best 10 goals and 23 points on the year.
Horan Takumi (Roberts Wesleyan)
Sr., M, Toronto, Canada, Courtice Secondary School
Senior Takumi Horan moved forward into a more offensive role this week and responded with goals in each of the two games this past week. He scored the lone goal in the 3-1 loss to Daemen and added the first goal of the game in a 2-1 win over CSI Saturday.

Founded as the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference in 1989 and rechristened the East Coast Conference in July 2006, the ECC was formed to enhance intercollegiate athletic competition among member institutions and to assist them in integrating athletics into their academic program in a fiscally sound way. The ECC is committed to the highest standards of scholarship, sportsmanship, teamwork, and citizenship. Its mission is to promote the total person concept in its student-athletes, which stresses the abilities to excel in academic achievement, athletic competition, and positive character traits. East Coast Conference members include: Daemen University (Amherst, N.Y.); University of the District of Columbia (Washington, D.C.); D'Youville University (Buffalo, N.Y.); Mercy University (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.); Molloy University (Rockville Centre, N.Y.); Queens College (Flushing, N.Y.); Roberts Wesleyan University (Rochester, N.Y.); College of Staten Island (Staten Island, N.Y.); and St. Thomas Aquinas College (Sparkill, N.Y.). The ECC also is home to 13 associate members in the sports of women’s bowling (3), men’s and women’s indoor track & field (3), men's volleyball (2), field hockey (1), and men’s lacrosse (1).
The ECC sponsors the following championship sports: baseball; men’s and women’s basketball; women's bowling; men’s and women’s cross country; field hockey; men’s and women’s lacrosse; men’s and women’s indoor track and field; men’s and women’s outdoor track and field; men’s and women’s soccer; softball; and men's and women’s volleyball.
The East Coast Conference is a proud member of the NCAA and Division II. Division II is a dynamic and engaging group of colleges, institutions and conferences of varying sizes and educational missions.
