Player of the Week

Tahj-Malik Campbell, Queens
Senior | Forward | Philadelphia, Pa.

Senior forward Tahj-Malik Campbell led the Knights with an ECC weekly-high 27.5 points on 48.6% shooting, 8.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.5 steals, and 1.0 block per game. He opened the week with 22 points and 11 rebounds (team-leading ninth double-double of the season) to go along with four assists, two steals, and one block against CSI on Wednesday. In a thrilling comeback versus UDC on Saturday, Campbell delivered a career-best 33 points (ECC weekly-high) on 10 made field goals, adding six rebounds, four assists, three steals, and one block. Playing all 20 minutes of the second half, he scored 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting, hit two three-pointers, and went 6-for-6 from the free-throw line, marking his third 30+ point game this season.


Defensive Player of the Week

Justin Hemphill, Daemen
Redshirt Senior | Forward | Buffalo, N.Y. 

Justin Hemphill shined at the defensive end once again, collecting four steals and two blocks to lead Daemen to a 21-point win over Roberts Wesleyan - their 11th straight in the series. Hemphill added six defensive rebounds among his 10 total, en route to his team-leading seventh double-double of the season (13 points). Hemphill, who was named to the Trevor Hudgins Award Top 25 Watch List on Sunday, continues to be the only player to be among the ECC's top five leaders in rebounds, blocks, steals and assists. 


Rookie of the Week

Sean Reynolds, D'Youville
Freshman | Guard | Dekalb, Ill.

Reynolds was an instrumental part in the Saints getting back in the win column, scoring 24 points in the team's 82-75 win over Roberts Wesleyan University this past Wednesday. Reynolds went 8-for-12 (75%) from the floor and 5-for-8 (62.5%) from beyond the arc.


ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Justin Glover, Daemen
Senior | Guard | Buffalo, N.Y.

Justin Glover caught fire early and scored a team-high 15 points to lead Daemen to an 81-60 win over Roberts Wesleyan, the Wildcats' 39th win in their last 41 meetings with the rival Redhawks. Glover canned four three-pointers as part of his point total, raising his career total to 161 which ranks 10th in program history. 

Michael Harrell, District of Columbia
Graduate Student | Shooting Guard | Laurel, Md.

 Harrell delivered a strong all-around performance for the Firebirds in their road matchup against Queens. Harrell recorded a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds, while shooting 7-of-15 from the field and 3-of-3 from the free-throw line. He also made an impact defensively, finishing with three steals, helping keep UDC competitive throughout the contest. 

Oliver Spence, District of Columbia
Freshman | Center | Slovakia, Europe

Spence scored a career-high 21 points to lead the Firebirds against Queens. The freshman shot 8-of-15 from the field, showcasing efficiency and poise in the paint while battling inside throughout the game. Spence also contributed four rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block impacting the contest on both ends of the floor. 

TJ Holloway, Mercy
Guard | Guard | Stratford, Conn.

Holloway scored a game-high 21 points on 7-of-12 shooting with four rebounds at St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday. 

Jordan Trahan, Mercy
Junior | Guard | New Orleans, La. 

Trahan scored 14 points with four rebounds, two assists, one block and a game-high six steals at St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday. 

Chris Stokel, Molloy
Junior | Guard | Merrick, N.Y.

Stokel helped lead the Lions past Staten Island on Saturday. The junior tied a team-high 21 points, grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out four assists while shooting a perfect six-of-six from the foul line.

Jared Weakly, Molloy
Junior | Guard | Valley Stream, N.Y. 

Weakly continued to be a rim protector this week, as the Lions defeated Staten Island in overtime on Saturday. The junior totaled 20 points on 69 percent shooting (9-of-13), while totaling eight rebounds (seven defensive) and blocked four shots. Weakly has now denied at least four shots in the last four games, leading the conference averaging 2.7 blocks per game.

Starrell Hearns, St. Thomas Aquinas
Redshirt Junior | Guard | Carteret, N.J.

Hearns averaged 15.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game in two contests last week for STAC. The redshirt junior guard tallied 16 points, grabbed eight rebounds, dished out three assists and swiped three steals in 28 minutes in a 111-90 home win against Dominican before recording 14 points, eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block in 23 minutes in a 84-65 home victory over Mercy. Starrell shot 91 percent (10-11) from the foul line.

Derrick James, St. Thomas Aquinas
Senior | Guard | Columbus, Ohio

James averaged 12.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 3.5 steals per game in two contests last week for STAC. The senior guard tallied 12 points, grabbed a rebound, dished out 11 assists and swiped four steals in 31 minutes in a 111-90 home win against Dominican before recording 12 points, three rebounds, five assists and three steals in 26 minutes in a 84-65 home victory over Mercy. Derrick shot 100 percent (6-6) from the foul line.

Asa Kone, Staten Island
Senior | Forward | Bronx, N.Y.

He led the team in scoring in the win over Queens on Wednesday with 21 points shooting 86% (6-7) from the field and 90% (9-10) from the free throw line. In that same contest, he also added eight rebounds, two blocks and one steal. On Saturday, he grabbed 11 rebounds while notching eight points. 

Aaron Goldstein, Staten Island
Junior | Guard | Staten Island, N.Y.

Led the team in the previous week with 25.5 ppg while shooting 45% (17-39) from the field and 92% (12-13) from the freethrow line. The junior also averaged 5.5 assists per game and 3.0 steals per game. Against Molloy, Goldstein notched his fourth 30 point showing when he led the team in the day with 31 points while dishing seven assists.
