Hemphill scored a season-high 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead No. 2 Daemen to a 72-68 win over No. 22 Adelphi on Jan. 1, marking Daemen's fourth win against a nationally ranked opponent this season, and the program's 46th consecutive regular season victory. Hemphill shot 8-for-14 from the field and 2-for-5 from three-point range while recording his first 20-point outing since the final round of last season's East Coast Conference Championship. He added a team-high four assists to go with two blocks and two steals.
Defensive Player of the Week
Ryan Heath, Daemen

Ryan Heath served as the primary defender on Adelphi's Dayshaun Walton and played an integral role in limiting the Panthers' leading scorer to just ten points while also forcing him into eight turnovers during a 72-68 Daemen victory on Jan. 1. The ten points scored by Walton was the fourth lowest total for him this season and six points below his season average. Daemen leads the conference in defense allowing just 64.9 points per game.

Timberlake had a career-best performance against St. Michael's with 20 points and 13 rebounds while adding three assists. The rookie shot 63.6 percent from the field, including sinking four three-pointers.

TJ Holloway, Mercy

Holloway scored a game-high 31 points on 10-of-23 shooting from the floor and 4-of-9 shooting from downtown with four rebounds, one assist and one steal, playing all 40 minutes in Mercy's 79-76 loss to Southern Connecticut State on Friday.
Tahj-Malik Campbell, Queens

Over two games, Tahj-Malik Campbell paced the Knights’ offense, averaging 14.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals, and 2.0 blocks per game. The senior forward opened the week by recording his fifth double-double of the season, posting 18 points, 13 rebounds, four steals, and one block against Bridgeport on Wednesday afternoon. Campbell closed the week with 10 points, four rebounds, three blocks, and two steals in Saturday’s matchup against Lincoln.
Rejuan Gray, District of Columbia

In UDC’s matchup against Cheyney University, Gray recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while also contributing four assists and two blocks.

Rowbatham had 27 points on 12-of-27 shooting with five rebounds, three assists and one steal in Mercy's 79-76 loss to Southern Connecticut State on Friday.
Oliver Spence, District of Columbia

In UDC’s matchup against Cheyney University, Spence finished with 14 points and eight rebounds, and shooting 50% from the field, showcasing his ability to score efficiently while controlling the glass. His presence inside provided stability on both ends of the floor, as he contributed on the boards, protected the paint, and finished through contact. He also added a steal and a block.
Joshua Naklen, Mercy

Naklen had a career-high-tying nine points on 3-of-7 shooting with six rebounds, three assists, and two steals in Mercy's 79-76 loss to Southern Connecticut State on Friday.
