Austin Melvin, Roberts Wesleyan
Sophomore | Pole Vault | Central Square, N.Y.
Sophomore Austin Melvin set the school record for Roberts Wesleyan University for the second consecutive week as he won the pole vault competition at the RIT Friday Night Mett and cleared 5.27 meters (17' 3 ½"). He won in a field of 38 vaulters. He passed to the 4.75-meter bar (15' 7") and was the lone vaulter to clear the 16-foot level. He cleared four bars with just two misses before three misses at the 17' 5" height. His height is currently third in the nation.
Women's Track Athlete of the Week
Patsy Oberholzer, Daemen
Senior | Greece, N.Y.
Oberholzer recorded a personal-best time of 10:47.77 in the 3000m at the Highlander Invitational, earning her first gold medal of the season. She won in a field of 14 runners and shaved three seconds off her previous best time.

Daizhae' Brown, Georgian Court
Senior | Bronx, N.Y.
Daizhae' Brown competed in all three jumping events and set personal-bests in all three at the Franklin and Marshall Invitational. She won both the long and triple jumps and was third in the high jump. Her winning jump of 17-7 in the long jump came on her first attempt and tied her for fourth all-time at GCU. She moved from ninth to fifth all-time in the triple jump with her mark of 37-4.5. She then got over the high jump bar at 5-1 on her final attempt. That jump ties her for fifth in Lions history. All three of her jumps put her in the top-six in the ECC this season.

Simon Evans, Daemen
Freshman | Galway, N.Y.
Evans was the only Wildcat to log two top-five finishes at the Highlander Invitational on Saturday, placing third in the mile and fourth in the 3000m. Evans started the day with a bronze medal in the mile, posting a time of 4:35.35 in a field of 30 runners. It marked the first top-three finish of his collegiate career. He then placed fourth out of 14 runners in the 3000m, finishing in 9:23.61.
Ibrahim Hakizimana?, Daemen
Freshman | Rochester, N.Y.
Hakizimana earned a silver medal in the 600m run at the Highlander Invitational after crossing the finish line in 1:25.90. He finished just over a second short of first place. The freshman also helped the Wildcats' 4x400 relay place seventh with a time of 3:49.96.
Mark Linton, Georgian Court
Junior | Orange Bay, Jamaica
Mark Linton was once again the winner of the weight throw. He threw 57-10.25 on his first attempt which held up for the win.
Odane Smith, Holy Family
Senior | Saint Catherine, Jamaica
Smith won the triple jump at Moravian's Hounds Indoor Classic on Saturday, topping the field of 16 with an NCAA provisional of 14.74m that now leads the ECC.
Javon Bowen, Holy Family

Bowen placed second out of 33 in the long jump at Moravian's Hounds Indoor Classic on Saturday, landing at an NCAA provisional of 7.23m that now ranks second in the ECC.
David Crews, Molloy

Junior David Crews had a tremendous outing at the Dr. Sander Scorcher Invitational (Jan. 23-24) this past weekend. Crews competed in the 60-meter dash where he set a personal-best on his way to a ninth place finish. Crews completed the 60-meter dash in 7.10.

Sophomore Terron Metz was third in the pole vault at the RIT Friday Night Meet as he cleared 4.60 meters (15' 1").
Sam Whelan, Staten Island

In day 2 of the Dr. Sander Invitational on Saturday, the senior competed in the 200m Open event (his lone event of the weekend) and finished second overall out of 61 competitors, first in his heat, with a time of 22.30.
Akeem Pollard, Staten Island
Freshman | Jamaica, N.Y.
At the Dr. Sander Invite on Friday-Saturday, the freshman competed in two events. On Friday, he finished first in the 60m Open heat with a time of 7.09 and finished seventh overall out of 45 competitors. On Saturday, he also competed in the 200m open event with a finishing time of 22.89 to finish third in his heat.

Julia Petry, Daemen
Junior | Batavia, N.Y.
Petry won the shot put at the Highlander Invite. Her toss of 11.47m marked a personal best and earned her the victory in a field of 31 throwers. The junior also finished second out of 29 in the weight throw with a personal-best toss of 13.58m.
Becca Schultz, Daemen
Senior | Grand Island, N.Y.
Schultz finished first out of 16 runners in the 60m hurdles at the Highlander Invitational. She logged a first-place time of 9.77 seconds in the preliminaries, then improved to 9.73 seconds in the finals to earn the gold medal. It marked the second straight meet that she has logged a top-three finish in the event. Schultz also took fourth in the long jump with a leap of 4.81m.
Kayla Cooper, District of Columbia
Senior | Brooklyn, N.Y.
Cooper delivered a standout, multi-event performance at the VMI Invitational. Cooper posted a 7.80s in the 60 meters, currently the third-fastest time in the ECC, and followed with a season-best 25.77s in the 200 meters, ranking second-fastest in the conference this season. She qualified for the final of the 60m and placed 6th/39. She then went on to place 9th/35 in the 200m. In addition to her sprint success, Cooper scored valuable team points with a sixth-place finish in the long jump (5.40m, ), placing 6th/16.
Emmanuela Katou Kouami, District of Columbia
Senior | Bronx, N.Y.
Katou Kouami delivered a standout performance at the VMI Invitational, winning the weight throw with a mark of 17.68 meters (58-00.25) out of a field of 22. The throw earned first place, scored 10 team points, and met the NCAA Division II National Provisional Qualifying Standard, placing her among in the top 20 competitors nationally and top in the East Region. Her performance also set a new UDC record.
Jenna Capolupo, D'Youville
Junior | Wheatfield, N.Y.
Capolupo had a big weekend for the Saints at the Highlander Invitational, highlighted by taking first place in the long jump with a jump of 5.71m. This is the second time this year Capolupo has taken 1st place in the event, adding to an impressive junior season at DYU. As an upperclassmen, Capoplupo is the unquestioned leader of a young Saints team.
Neveah Granderson-Florence, D'Youville

Neveah continued her strong freshman campaign at the Highlander Invitational on Saturday, taking 2nd place in the women's 60m dash with a time of 7.98 seconds. This continues to be Granderson-Florence's best event, as she has finished top 2 in her last two appearances in the 60m dash. The freshman continues to show growth and could anchor this Saints team in sprints moving forward.
Chiamaka Wokocha, Georgian Court
Junior | Galloway, N.J.
Wokocha set a new PR for the second straight week. She took second in the weight throw with her throw of 49-9.25. That mark was more than two feet better than any other on the day and is fourth in the ECC.
Katelyn Perazzola, Holy Family

Perazzola posted top 10 finishes, in respective fields of 41 and 42, in both the 60m (8.24) and 200m (27.09) at Moravian's Hounds Indoor Classic on Saturday.
Marie Naudus, Molloy
Graduate Student | Island Park, N.Y.
Graduate student Marie Naudus took home yet another program record when competing at the Dr. Sander Scorcher Invitational (Jan. 23-24) this past weekend. Naudus competed in the mile, completing the course in 5:05.48. Naudus knocked three-quarters of a second off the previous record, while finishing in 14th-place. Naudus also topped all Division II competitors in the event.
Jadyn Mullen, Roberts Wesleyan

Junior Jadyn Mullen continued to post high marks in multiple events for Roberts Wesleyan. At the RIT Friday Night Meet, the pentathlete won the 400 meters in 59.68 while nearly at the same time in the meet placed 11th in the shot put with a toss of11.30-meters (37' 1") which ranks third in the current ECC standings. Later, in the long jump competition, she placed seventh with a leap of 5.45 meters (17' 10 ¾") - she currently ranks second in the ECC in the event.
Adonijah Washington, Staten Island
Sophomore | Bronx, N.Y.
At the Dr. Sander Invite she competed in one track and one field event in the weekend and posted a top performance in the field event of the triple jump. She finished second overall in the triple jump event, second in her heat, with a distance of 11.43m on her final attempt. In the track event of the 200m open, she finished at 26.40.
