Roberts Wesleyan's Brynn King Named College Sports Communicators Academic All-America WT&F/XC Division II Team Member of the Year

AUSTIN, TX – A standout in competition and in the classroom, Roberts Wesleyan's Brynn King highlights the 2024-25 Academic All-America® women’s track and field/cross country teams selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). King has been named the Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year award winner for Division II.

A graduate student from The Woodlands, Texas, King won the NCAA Division II outdoor national championship in the pole vault this spring. She was undefeated during the outdoor campaign with four wins in four tries, including a triumph at the 97th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. She broke the all-time NCAA outdoor pole vault record in the Texas event with a mark of 4.75 meters (15 feet, seven inches).
 
The East Coast Conference Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, King represented the United States in the 2024 Paris Olympics. A four-time NCAA champion (two indoor, two outdoor), King is the only student-athlete in Division II history to surpass 15 feet in the pole vault. She holds a 3.85 GPA in RWU’s strategic leadership graduate program. King finished her undergraduate work with a 4.00 GPA, earning an exercise science degree.
 
Thirteen of the 45 members of the Academic All-America® Division II women’s track and field/cross country teams sport a sterling 4.00 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The 15 first team members have an average undergraduate GPA of 3.94.
