ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – All-ECC Second Team back Cami Brescia scored the overtime game-winner in the 93rd minute to lift No. 3 Roberts Wesleyan to a 2-1 win over No. 2 Molloy at the RVC Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon. The Redhawks (10-3-4, 4-1-2 ECC) will now advance to face No. 1 Mercy (14-2-2, 5-0-2 ECC) in the 2025 ECC Women's Soccer Championship Final next Sunday, November 16 at in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. at 1:00 PM.
Roberts Wesleyan will make its first ECC Championship Final appearance since 2015 and just the second in program history.
Brescia first assisted on the opening score as she blasted a 45-yard free kick in toward goal and All-ECC Third Team forward Jenna Northup put it away for the Redhawks (16').
Molloy (11-3-4, 4-0-3 ECC) equalized on a free kick of their own as Bella Juliano took a free kick from 25 yards out that found All-ECC First Team midfielder Jana Strait; Strait tucked away her sixth goal of the year in the 55th minute.
There were a flurry of shots in the final three minutes of regulation, but Molloy All-ECC Third Team forward Mikaela Barriga's shot went high (88'), Roberts Wesleyan All-ECC Second Team forward Mackenzie Hagan's shot went wide (89'), and Molloy's Angelina Rodriguez's shot with 28 seconds left in regulation was blocked.
In overtime, Brescia fired off a free kick from the left wing toward the box, and the ball deflected off of two Molloy defenders and just over the goal line at the 92:33 mark for the game-winner.
Roberts Wesleyan goalkeeper Mia Tyndell made four saves vs. one goal allowed in the full 92:33 for the Redhawks.
ECC Goalkeeper of the Year Elyse Muñoz made eight saves vs. two goals allowed in the full 92:33 for Molloy. The Lions' back line was also credited with a team save in the 66th minute.
Prior to the start of the match, Molloy sophomore forward Madison Falkowski was honored as the winner of 2025 ECC Women's Soccer Elite 20 Award. Modeled off of the NCAA's Elite 90 Award, this award is presented to a competing student-athlete with the highest grade point average in each of the conference's 20 championships. Falkowski has compiled a perfect 4.0 GPA as a childhood education/English double major.

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – No. 1 Mercy used three second-half goals to power to a 4-1 win over No. 4 Daemen in 2025 ECC Women's Soccer Championship Semifinals action at Mercy Field on Sunday afternoon. The Mavericks (14-2-2, 5-0-2 ECC) will now advance to host No. 2 Roberts Wesleyan (10-3-4, 4-1-2 ECC) in the 2025 ECC Women's Soccer Championship Final next Sunday, November 16 at in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. at 1:00 PM.
Mercy, ranked 18th nationally this week, will appear in its sixth ECC Championship Final in program history, and first since winning it all in 2022.
Mercy All-ECC First Team forward Ancksu Dixon opened the scoring in the 24th minute on a dish by All-ECC Second Team forward Hailey Metzger, but ECC Offensive Player of the Year Kylie Miranto put away her 16th goal of the year on a helper from All-ECC First Team forward Kaitlyn Wright to equalize for Daemen just 41 seconds later (25').
The Mavericks outshot the Wildcats, 11-2, in the first half and continued that dominance into the second half, owning a 15-1 advantage in shots that saw Madison Rosa score twice (54', 64'), with both goals assisted by Metzger, and Ella Gallino tack on the security score (77').
Just 16 seconds following Gallino's goal, Daemen saw a red card that forced the 'Cats to play a player down for the final 13:22.
The Mavericks' defensive effort was outstanding, as All-ECC Third Team goalkeeper Anneliese Becker was only forced to face one shot on goal for the match. ECC Defensive Player of the Year Sarah Lill Hanks and ECC Rookie of the Year Casey Szczotka played the full 90:00 for a Mercy defense that allowed only three total shots and just one shot on goal.
For Daemen, Miranto took two of the Wildcats' three shots, landing the squad's lone shot on frame while All-ECC Second Team goalkeeper Becca Schultz made nine saves vs. four goals allowed.
