HOPKINGTON, N.H. – For the second consecutive year, Roberts Wesleyan women's cross country senior Rachel Horner-Richardson placed second to lead the Redhawks to a second-place team finish at the 2025 NCAA Division II East Regional Cross Country Championships, held at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, N.H. on Saturday morning.
As one of the top three team finishers, Roberts Wesleyan earned one of the meet's three AQs for the upcoming 2025 NCAA Cross Country Championships, to be held at the
Wayne E Dannehl National Cross Country Course in Kenosha, Wisc. on November 22. This will mark the RWU women's cross country program's 11th consecutive appearance at the national meet.

ECC champion Horner-Richardson finished the 6k course in 21:38.4, nearly 19 seconds faster than her previous PR (21:57.3). The Redhawks finished with 53 points, nine behind first-place Southern Connecticut State.
Roberts Wesleyan's Paige Reeser finished fourth (22:05.7 PR), followed by Lydia Roselund (11th, 22:42.05), Evelyn Schmit (17th, 23:01.8), and Michaela Goettel (23:20.38).
Daemen (143 points), Molloy (173 points), and D'Youville (191 points) finished fourth, fifth, and sixth, respectively, as the ECC finished four teams in the top six.
The conference also saw 12 ECC student-athletes receive USTFCCCA All-Region honors for finishing in the top 25:
