Jankovic averaged 23.5 points per game on 15-for-31 shooting from the field (48 percent) in a 1-1 week for D’Youville, dropping 23 points (7-for-15 shooting) to go with six rebounds and three steals against Columbus State before going off for 24 points (8-for-16 shooting) and another six rebounds and three steals in a 65-54 win over Saint Leo, handing the Lions just their third loss of the season.
Defensive Player of the Week
Karolina Jaruseviciute, St. Thomas Aquinas
Senior | Forward | Toms River, N.J.
Jaruseviciute grabbed a game-high nine rebounds (seven defensive) and picked up three steals in STAC’s 66-43 victory over Bloomfield. The senior forward also recorded 11 points in 25 minutes of action.
Rookie of the Week
Nkiru Awaka, Queens
Freshman | Forward | Hyde Park, N.Y.
Awaka averaged 21.5 points on 63.0% shooting, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks in two non-conference games on the week. The Hyde Park, New York native began the week recording her fourth double-double of the year with a career-high 29 points to go with 11 rebounds, three steals, and two blocks in the victory over Wilmington on Wednesday evening. On Saturday afternoon against defending East Regional champions Assumption Awaka recorded a team-high 14 points, five rebounds, and one steal.

Brianna Davis, Queens
Sophomore | Guard | Bronx, N.Y.
Davis averaged 16.5 points on 50.0 percent shooting, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game in two non-conference contests on the week. Davis began the week recording her first double-double of the year with 26 points on 64.3 percent shooting to go with a season-high 10 rebounds and a career-best six assists in the victory over Wilmington on Wednesday evening. Against Assumption, the Bronx native tallied seven points, five rebounds, and one assist on Saturday afternoon.
Danielle DiCintio, Roberts Wesleyan
Senior | Guard | Somers, N.Y.
DiCintio averaged 17.5 points and 8.0 assists per game in a pair of wins for Roberts Wesleyan last week, dropping a double-double (26 points, 10 assists) in a win over Lake Erie.
Erin Leary, St. Thomas Aquinas
Junior | Forward | Carle Place, N.Y.
Leary led all scorers with 19 points for the Spartans in a 66-43 win over Bloomfield. The junior forward also grabbed five rebounds, dished off three assists and rejected a Bears’ shot in 34 minutes of action.
Jaclyn Stanavich, Mercy
Junior | Forward | Amsterdam, N.Y.
Stanavich averaged a team-high 18.0 points per game with 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game in two games for the Mavericks. The junior opened the week with 11 points, five rebounds and two assists at Saint Leo on Friday and ended the week with a game-high and career-high 25 points with a game-high 10 rebounds to go along with three assists and three steals against Columbus State on Saturday.
Destiny Ryles, District of Columbia
Junior | Guard | Windsor Mill, Md.
Ryles averaged 16.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 3.0 steals per game in a 1-1 week for the Firebirds. She posted a season-high 29 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals to lead UDC to their 11th win over a tough regionally-ranked Virginia Union squad.
