Tori Williams, District of Columbia

Williams led the Firebirds to a 2-0 week, averaging 26.0 points per game and shooting at 70 percent (22-for-32) from the field. The UDC junior guard/forward also averaged 7.5 rebounds per game, 1.5 blocks per game, and 1.5 steals per game. In the win over Georgian Court, Williams led all scorers with 23 points while pulling down five rebounds and making two steals and two blocks. In the win over Southern Connecticut State, Williams turned in her first double-double of the season with a game-high 26 points and 10 rebounds.
Defensive Player of the Week
Trinity Hudson, Molloy
Senior | Guard/Forward | Glen Cove, N.Y.
In a 1-1 week for Molloy, Hudson put together a pair of double-doubles. The senior totaled 19 points and tied a career-high 17 rebounds against Dominican and followed up with an 18-point and 11-rebound performance in the Lions’ overtime victory over Felician, now collecting double-doubles in three consecutive contests. To cap the week, Hudson averaged 18.5 points and 14 rebounds per game while shooting 56 percent (14-for-25) from the field.
Rookie of the Week
Nkiru Awaka, Queens
Freshman | Forward | Hyde Park, N.Y.
Awaka averaged a near double-double with 9.0 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.3 steals, and 1.0 blocks over three games for Queens last week. The rookie began the week with eight points and a career-best 14 rebounds and three blocks against Caldwell. In the Felician Holiday Classic, Awaka recorded seven points, five rebounds, and a career-best four steals in the comeback victory over Felician before concluding the Classic with her second double-double of the year with 12 points, 12 rebounds, and two steals against Dominican.
ECC Weekly Honor Roll
Sarah Ericson, St. Thomas Aquinas
Junior | Guard | Norwich, Conn.
Ericson averaged 15.0 points and 7.5 rebounds over two games last week for STAC. The junior guard recorded 18 points and seven rebounds against Post before picking up 12 points and eight rebounds against Pace.
Samantha Muller, Molloy
Junior | Guard/Foward | North Babylon, N.Y.
Muller was a key factor in a pair of close games for the Lions. The junior collected 17 points and eight rebounds against Dominican and added 16 points and five rebounds in the overtime victory at Felician. To cap the week, Muller averaged 16.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while shooting 93 percent from the foul line (13-of-14).
Dana Phelan, Staten Island
Sophomore | Guard | Tappan, N.Y.
Phelan averaged 16.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in two Dolphins’ win this week as CSI picked up victories over Wilmington and Bloomfield. She scored a career-high 22 points in Staten Island’s victory over Bloomfield and shot 8-19 (42.1%) from beyond the arc across the two games.
Destiny Ryles, District of Columbia
Junior | Guard | Windsor Mill, Md.
Ryles was all over the stat sheet in UDC’s 2-0 week, averaging 14.0 points per game, 9.0 assists per game, 5.5 steals per game, and 4.0 rebounds per game. In the win over Georgian Court, Ryles neared a triple-double with 19 points, nine assists, seven steals, and five rebounds. In the win over Southern Connecticut State, she dished out another nine assists while adding nine points and four steals.
Jaclyn Stanavich, Mercy
Junior | Forward | Amsterdam, N.Y.
Stanavich averaged 15.5 points and a team-high 6.5 rebounds per game with 2.0 steals per game as Mercy went 1-1 on the week. The junior opened the week with a team-high 11 points to go along with six rebounds, three steals and two assists in the win over Bridgeport and ended the week with a career-high 20 points on 9-of-16 shooting with seven rebounds and one steal at Goldey-Beacom.
