ECC Softball Report - Week One

Player of the Week

Natalie Moussa, Molloy
Senior | P | Chino Hills, CA

Moussa led the Lions with a .636 batting average to open the season, going 7-of-11 with three doubles and a home run while driving in seven and scoring driving in seven and scoring three times. The Molloy senior slugged at a clip of 1.182, opening the season with a five-RBI doubleheader split against Wingate with a 4-for-5 showing at the plate with two doubles and a home run. Moussa notched two hits apiece in three of the four games and drove in at least one run in all four games. 


Pitcher of the Week

Kennedie Ruth, Staten Island
Junior | P | Feasterville, PA

Ruth pitched a complete-game, one-hit shutout against Chestnut Hill on Sunday to help the Dolphins earn a sweep of their doubleheader against the Griffins. In the full seven innings, the CSI junior allowed just one hit and two baserunners while striking out eight. 


Rookie of the Week

Alexis Montgomery, Molloy
Redshirt Freshman | OF | Long Valley, NJ

Montgomery recorded three hits in her opening week of collegiate softball while driving in one run, scoring one run, and stealing one base.


ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Aileen Balderas, Staten Island
Senior | SS | Los Angeles, CA

Balderas went 4-for-7 with four RBI in two CSI wins against Chestnut Hill on Sunday. In game one, the CSI senior finished 1-3 with a double and an RBI. In game two, Balderas posted a 3-for-4 stat line, adding another double and three more RBI.

Stevie Dabbadie, Molloy
Sophomore | P/1B | Burbank, CA

Dabbadie finished the opening weekend with a 1-1 record, appearing in three of Molloy's four games. In her first appearance of 2025, the sophomore allowed no earned runs and struck out five in a complete game victory. 

Eliana Raposo, St. Thomas Aquinas
Junior | P/UTL | Wareham, MA

Raposo hit a scorching .462 (6-for-13) with two home runs while driving in four and scoring five times over four games against Wingate and Francis Marion this past weekend. The STAC junior pitcher/utility player also stole a pair of bases and starred defensively in centerfield.
