Anthony Manisero, Molloy

Manisero returned to the Lions’ line-up this weekend against D'Youville. The senior collected three multi-hit games in four starts, including a three-hit four-RBI performance Friday in Molloy's victory. The outfielder finished the week collecting three hits, three runs scored, and three-RBI in the Lions' victory Sunday afternoon. To cap the week, Manisero hit .474 (9-for-19) drove in seven runs, scored six times, stole four bases, and blasted one home run.
Pitcher of the Week
Matthew Fried, Molloy
Graduate Student | Pitcher | East Meadow, N.Y.
Fried made two starts on the mound this week. The right-hander got the start against former ECC foe Bridgeport on Tuesday and tossed three scoreless innings and struck out eight, then finished the week picking up a win over D'Youville where he pitched five innings allowing two runs, one earned, two hits, and struck out eight to improve to 3-0 on the campaign. On the week, Fried collected 16 strikeouts in eight innings pitched while collecting a 1.12 ERA.
Rookie of the Week
Nevin Scaperotti, Mercy
Freshman | Pitcher/Infielder | Stormville, N.Y.
Scaperotti opened the week pitching 5.0 innings with one earned run and five hits allowed to go along with five strikeouts to earn the win over CSI on Friday. The freshman also hit .500 (7-for-14) at the plate with three RBI and five runs scored. Scaperotti went 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI in the game two win over CSI on Friday and went 4-for-9 with two RBI and two runs in the split with CSI on Sunday.
ECC Weekly Honor Roll
Zach Ashline, Mercy
Sophomore | Outfield | Colonie, N.Y.
Ashline hit .421 (8-for-19) with a team-high eight runs and two home runs to go along with four RBI, two stolen bases and one double as Mercy went 4-1 on the week. The sophomore opened the week going 2-for-4 with two runs in the win over Dominican on Tuesday. Ashline then went 4-for-8 with four runs, two home runs and four RBI in Mercy's sweep of CSI on Friday. The sophomore ended the week going 2-for-5 with two runs in Mercy's game two win over CSI on Sunday.
Jeremy Glinski, D’Youville
Graduate Student | Catcher | Sloan, N.Y.
Glinski went 5-for-17 with two home runs, a double, and six RBI in four games for the Saints and drove in a run in all four games.
Jorsixt Jimenez, Queens
Sophomore | Outfielder | Flushing, N.Y.
In a 3-0 week for Queens, Jimenez totaled a .417 BA, SLG % .750, and OB% .533 as he recorded five hits, two doubles, one triple, nine total bases, two RBI, two walks, five stolen bases, and five runs scored to go with two multi-hit games. The sophomore extended his hitting streak and runs scored to five straight games. In the Knights’ 6-3 victory over Caldwell Jimenez went 2-4 AB with two doubles, and two runs scored. In Friday’s DH sweep over Lincoln, the Flushing native recorded three hits, a triple, three runs scored, and two RBI to open ECC play with a 2-0 record.
Aidan Larkin, Molloy
Senior | Third Baseman | Huntington, N.Y.
Larkin collected three multi-hit games in four starts this week. The senior collected his first home run of the season in Molloy's victory over D'Youville on Sunday while scoring a pair of runs. On the week, Larkin hit .538 (7-for-13), drove in four runs, scored four times, drew four walks, and hit one home run while slugging .846.
Billy Morris, D’Youville
Sophomore | Infielder/Pitcher | Lancaster, N.Y.
Morris got the win in D'Youville's 5-3 victory over Molloy on Sunday, in which he threw seven innings and allowed just two earned runs while striking out five batters.
Chris Polemeni, Staten Island
Sophomore | Outfielder/Pitcher | Staten Island, N.Y.
Polemeni finished the week hitting .412 (7-17) and hit safely in all four games the Dolphins played. This four-game stretch was highlighted by a 3-5 effort against Mercy University on Sunday in which he hit his second home run of the season and had 2 RBI. The sophomore is now seventh in the conference in batting and is also among the conference leaders in stolen bases with 12.
Ryan Rozinski, Mercy
Senior | Pitcher | Middletown, N.J.
Rozinski pitched five shutout innings with just three hits allowed and eight strikeouts to earn the win over CSI on Friday.
Jordan Sanabria, Queens
Senior | Pitcher | Woodside, N.Y.
Sanabria delivered with another quality start in the ECC opener victory vs. Lincoln as the Woodside native tied a career-high in 7.0 innings pitched as he allowed three hits, three runs (all of them unearned), zero walks to go with five strikeouts as Queens earned a 5-4 walk-off victory to open ECC play on a strong note. In five starts this year, the senior has recorded five strikeouts or more as he ranks first in the ECC with 37 punch-outs.
Sam Worthen, D’Youville
Senior | Pitcher | Guelph, Ontario
Worthen notched two saves in two appearances for the Saints. In five innings pitched, he allowed just one earned run. He threw three scoreless innings to get the save in D'Youville's 11-5 win over Molloy on Friday.
