Offensive Player of the Week

Leah Hansen, Mercy
Junior | Attacker | Greenlawn, N.Y.

Hansen had a team-high 10 goals as Mercy went 1-1 on the week. The junior opened the week in a big way, scoring a game-high seven goals to lift No.16/No.20 Mercy to a 13-12 win over No. 14/No. 19 New Haven on Wednesday. Hansen ended the week with a team-high-tying three goals against No. 18/RV Bentley on Saturday. 


Defensive Player of the Week

Lindsey Shimborske, Mercy
Junior | Defender | Farmingdale, N.Y.

Shimborske had a team-high eight caused turnovers and 10 ground balls with four draw controls as Mercy went 1-1 on the week. Against nationally-ranked competition on Wednesday, the junior went for four ground balls, five caused turnovers, and three draw controls in No. 16/No. 20 Mercy's 13-12 win over No. 14/No. 19 New Haven. The ECC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year ended the week with six ground balls, three caused turnovers, and one draw control in the 16-9 loss against No. 18/RV Bentley on Saturday. 


Rookie of the Week

Victoria Bustamante, Molloy
Freshman | Midfielder | Manorville, N.Y.

Bustamante had six ground balls, two caused turnovers, and two points (one goal, one assist) in Molloy’s 2-0 week. 


ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Alexa Amorison, Molloy
Junior | Attacker | Huntington, N.Y.

Amorison totaled seven points on seven goals on the week, including a season-high five goals at the College of Saint Rose, which saw her knot her 100th career point. 

Ella Entress, St. Thomas Aquinas
Sophomore | Attacker | Patchogue, N.Y.

Entress tallied nine goals for the Spartans in a 2-0 week, including five goals against Felician. The sophomore attacker also recorded 11 ground balls and a caused turnover, while also winning five draws.

Leena Moussa, Mercy
Junior | Attacker | Wantagh, N.Y.

Moussa had nine goals and one ground ball as Mercy went 1-1 on the week. The junior opened the week with six goals and one ground ball in Mercy's win over No. 14 New Haven on Wednesday. Moussa ended the week with a team-high-tying three goals against No. 18 Bentley on Saturday. 

Sofia Quitoni, Molloy
Junior | Midfielder | Wantagh, N.Y.

Quitoni tallied six ground balls and forced seven turnovers in a 2-0 week for the Lions, leading the team in forced turnovers in both contests. In addition, the midfielder also totaled five points on three goals and two assists and controlled five draws.

Maddie Robinson, Roberts Wesleyan
Senior | Defender | Lancaster, N.Y.

Robinson led the defense in a 15-11 win over Walsh University on Saturday with five caused turnovers and five ground balls.

Lucy Rugaber, Roberts Wesleyan
Graduate Student | Attacker | Penfield, N.Y.

Lucy Rugaber scored six goals and had one assist in a 15-11 win over Walsh on Saturday.
