Nikki Philpot was elevated to Associate Commissioner of the East Coast Conference on January 2, 2026.

In this role, Philpot oversees the management of FloSports and broadcast operations, enhances the conference’s non-sport press releases and storytelling efforts, develops and assists in the implementation of the conference’s digital and social media strategy, and oversees the Director of Media position while assisting with identifying and executing marketing initiatives and sponsorship opportunities among other responsibilities. She also serves as the secondary liaison to the Athletic Director's Council while assisting with championship operations and the management of conference awards, supporting the implementation of the conference's Strategic Plan, and overseeing the conference's NCAA reporting.

Philpot also oversees the conference's student-athlete programing, which includes SAAC, leadership programming, community service, and engagement opportunities, and reclaims the conference's Senior Woman Administrator designation, a role in which she previously served from August of 2023 through July of 2025.

She represents the ECC as a member of the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Regional Advisory Committee and, at the national level, is a voter for the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association East Regional Poll. 

Philpot was hired as the Coordinator of Strategic Communications for the ECC in August of 2023 and was elevated to Assistant Commissioner for Strategic Communications in July of 2024. In those roles, Philpot oversaw the day-to-day publicity and communication efforts, served as the producer of conference championship broadcasts, implemented social media initiatives that saw the conference’s social media following grow by 63 percent in two years, and assisted in managing the championships of the ECC’s 20 Division II sports. She was elevated to Assistant Commissioner for External Operations in July of 2025.

A former Division II student-athlete at what is now Dominican University of New York, Philpot was a four-year letter winner for the Chargers softball team, earning NFCA Scholar-Athlete All-American status in 2009, and a four-year member of SAAC. Following graduation in May of 2010, Philpot fulfilled a yearlong internship in Dominican’s Sports Information Office.

Philpot went on to serve as the Assistant Director of Athletics Communications at Saint Joseph's University for 10 years. In this role, Philpot worked with the Hawks’ women’s basketball, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s track and field and cross country, and men’s soccer programs, where she developed strong relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets, coordinated gameday operations for home events, and wrote and edited news releases. Additionally, Philpot created and implemented social media plans for the athletics department and wrote features for SJUHawks.com, including a piece that won the 2020-21 CoSIDA Fred Stabley, Jr. Writing Contest District 2 category for Athlete Profile

With a plethora of championship experience, Philpot served as the host media coordinator for the 2015 and 2016 NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Final Four as well as the 2017 Atlantic 10 Women’s Lacrosse Championship and five Northeast Conference Men’s Lacrosse Championships.

Philpot entered her position at the ECC after three years of coaching at the Division II level, serving as an assistant softball coach at her alma mater, Dominican (2021), as well as Georgian Court University (2022, 2023).

Philpot graduated from Dominican with a Bachelor’s degree in English in 2010. She went on to earn a Master’s degree in Writing Studies from Saint Joseph’s in May of 2013.

A native of Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania, Philpot currently resides in Keyport, New Jersey with her wife, Nicole, and black lab, Bailey.
