Daemen Named Finalist for Inaugural FloCollege CSC Spotlight Award

AUSTIN, Texas – FloSports has announced the finalists of its inaugural FloCollege CSC Spotlight Award, a new program designed to honor outstanding College Sports Communicators (CSCs) across FloCollege partner conferences.

Daemen, under the direction of Mike Miranto, Senior Associate Athletics Director for Communications and Operations, was highlighted as the institution representing the East Coast Conference in the ECC's first season partnering with FloCollege. Along with the Daemen athletics communications team, Miranto spearheaded, organized and oversaw Daemen's broadcasts from women's volleyball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's basketball and women's lacrosse streamed on FloCollege during the 2025-26 athletics year. Miranto also was the play-by-play color commentor for Daemen's home basketball games.

The FloCollege CSC Spotlight Award celebrates communicators and CSC staff who go above and beyond to elevate their student-athletes, athletic programs, and institutions through strategic storytelling, advocacy and a commitment to excellence. The award highlights individuals who set the standard in the profession by building meaningful relationships, producing impactful content, enhancing broadcast quality, navigating crises with professionalism and championing the achievements of those they serve.

“We wouldn’t be able to operate without the contributions of these finalists and the many deserving nominees who were considered for this recognition,” said John Turner, VP & GM of FloCollege. “It’s impossible to read through more than 100 nominations and not feel inspired by the passion, creativity and dedication these communicators bring to their work every day. While only a handful could be named finalists, the submissions made one thing clear: college athletics is stronger because of the professionals who work behind the scenes to tell stories, promote student-athletes and elevate their institutions.”
