How it Happened
- The Golden Falcons started quickly with two runs in the first and second inning to take a 4-0 lead. Felician saw runs cross the plate following a hit by pitch, sacrifice fly, solo home run, and a run scoring single.
- The Lions got a run back in the bottom of the second after senior Jeremy Taggart drove in a run with a sacrifice fly to shrink the deficit, 4-1.
- Molloy added a second run in the bottom of the third to come within two, 4-2, after sophomore Steve Mulqueen collected a run scoring single.
- Felician broke the game open in the top of the fourth with a four-hit, six-run inning to take a commanding 10-2 lead.
- The cardinal and white rallied to a four-run inning in the bottom of the fifth to cut the deficit down to four, 10-6. The rally started with the bases loaded, senior Sean Welsh doubled into the left center field gap to plate two runs.
- Later in the frame junior Charlie Imhof drove in a run with a ground out before junior Jack Vallario capped the inning with a single to left field to plate Welsh.
- The Golden Falcons took advantage of two Molloy errors in the top of the sixth to put together a four-run inning, regaining their big lead, 14-6.
- After Felician added a run in the top of the eighth to take a 15-6 lead, junior Joe Burriesci connected for a solo home run in the bottom of the frame to return the contest to an eight-run deficit, 15-7.
- The bottom of the ninth saw senior Sean Serrano belt a three-run home run to cut into the lead, 15-10, but that's all the Lions would muster in the final frame as Felician would win the contest to avoid elimination.

- Welsh paced the squad with three hits while driving in two and scoring twice.
