Roberts Wesleyan and St. Thomas Aquinas Advance to ECC Men's Volleyball Title Match

ROCHESTER, NY – Top-seeded Roberts Wesleyan University and second-seeded St. Thomas Aquinas each earned straight-set victories in their East Coast Conference (ECC) semifinal matches this afternoon, securing spots in the ECC Championship match. The tournament is being hosted by Roberts Wesleyan in Rochester, NY.

All-ECC selection Ryan DeJohn and ECC Rookie of the Year Jordan Hoover led Roberts Wesleyan to victory, recording 12 and 10 kills, respectively. Hoover added five blocks, posted an impressive .769 hitting percentage, and committed no errors on 13 attempts. DeJohn finished with a .526 hitting percentage.
 
ECC Setter of the Year Landon Brouwer dished out 32 assists, while ECC Libero of the Year Moises Jimenez tallied 11 digs. Jayce Moore contributed seven kills, three digs, and three service aces.
For American International, Emil Zhmaidziak led the team with seven kills, along with two service aces and one assist. Robert Santana added six kills, one ace, and one assist, while Dymittry Terra recorded six kills and two blocks. Rian Woods paced the offense with 19 assists and added four digs, and Fabian Lugo chipped in five digs.

ECC Player of the Year Kyran Versteegen led St. Thomas Aquinas with 12 kills, a .611 hitting percentage, and 4.5 blocks. Alan Santiago also contributed 12 kills, while Marcus Franck recorded a match-high 27 assists. Elite 20 Award recipient Ivaylo Todorov added seven digs.
 
For Dominican, All-Conference selection Phinehas Wiley posted seven kills, two service aces, and one block. Tommaso Falchi added six kills, seven digs, and one assist. Jaiden Wilcox distributed 15 assists, and Seth Terry contributed seven.
