MOUNT VERNON, NY – The Youth Community Outreach Program of Mount Vernon has announced that St. Thomas Aquinas College's Ibrahim Conteh is the 2025 Roslyn Edwards Memorial Youth of the Year Honoree and formally recognized Conteh on September 18 at the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle, New York during Y-COP's 10th Annual Benefit and Recognition Gala.

This award honors the late Roslyn Edwards, a co-founder of the Mount Vernon Razorbacks Youth Football League and a dedicated youth advocate.

He is currently a senior at St. Thomas Aquinas, studying Secondary English Education and aims to become a high school teacher, counselor and coach. Ibrahim resides in Mount Vernon, New York with his mother and two brothers.

Outside of the classroom, Conteh is a starting defensive end on the STAC sprint football team and serves as a student assistant coach and digital content creator for the men's basketball team.
