COLONIA, NJ – Roberts Wesleyan freshman Thomas McConnelee (Carlisle, NY) and Staten Island senior Vincent Ohenhen (Staten Island, NY) as well as Roberts Wesleyan sophomore Jadyn Mullen (Batavia, NY) have been selected the 2025 ECC Outdoor Track & Field Championships Most Outstanding Athletes for their respective genders, as voted on by the league’s head coaches and announced on Friday afternoon.
McConnelee won both the shot put (15.70m/51’ 6 1/4”) and discus throw (54.66m/179’ 4”) and placed second in the hammer throw (61.67m/202’ 4”) to turn in 28 of Roberts Wesleyan’s 217 total points. His discus throw mark stands as the new meet record.
Ohenhen won both the 100m (10.80) and 200m (21.98) and anchored the second-place 4x100m relay (42.16) to turn in 28 of Staten Island’s 92 total points.
Mullen won the 400m hurdles (1:03.80) and anchored the first-place 4x800m relay (9:33.99), placed second in the high jump (1.60m/5’ 3”), long jump (5.35m/17’ 6 3/4”), and shot put (11.63m/38’ 2”), turned in a third-place finish in the 100m hurdles (15.21), and finished seventh in the javelin (29.01m/95’ 2”) to collect 50 of Roberts Wesleyan’s 175 total points.
