BOX SCORE

No. 8 D'Youville University 1 vs No. 4 Bentley University 4
It was a tight elimination game between the Saints and Falcons as the Saints looked to get on top first putting runners on first and second in the top of the first. The Bentley defense held the Saints as they closed out the first with a strikeout.

The Bentley Falcons plated their first run in the bottom of the third after capitalizing on a Saints error, but D'Youville immediately responded after Summer Clark (Williamsville, N.Y. / Williamsville East) led off the inning with a single up the middle and Becca Sawyer (Courtice, Ontario / Holy Trinity Catholic SS) knocked the run in with a sacrifice fly to center field to tie the game at one.

The game remained tied until the bottom of the sixth when the Falcons applied pressure on offense scoring three more runs to take the 4-1 lead. Despite Gianna Adamo (Lockport, N.Y. / Starpoint) reaching first in the top of the seventh, the Saints were unable to fight back and the Falcons would take the game 4-1 to advance to the next round of the NCAA Regional Tournament.
