Player of the Week
Amanda Stalker, Staten Island
Sophomore | OF | Howes Cave, NY
Stalker hit .600 (9-for-15) and drove in eight runs this week as the Dolphins went 3-3 across six games. In Wednesday's record-setting, 18-run effort against Lincoln, the sophomore was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and five RBI. In that CSI victory, she collected two of her five doubles on the week, and she would go on to hit safely in all six games. In addition to her nine hits, she would reach base five more times on three walks and twice via a hit-by-pitch, giving her an OPS of 1.600 for the week.
Pitcher of the Week
Madison Puppolo, St. Thomas Aquinas
Senior | P | Adams, MA
Puppolo posted a 2-0 record in 16.0 innings pitched with seven strikeouts across three conference appearances against CSI last week. The STAC senior opened the week with a complete-game shutout, scattering just six hits with two strikeouts in a 3-0 win over CSI on Thursday. Puppulo allowed just one hit and struck out two in 2.0 innings pitched in relief against CSI in Game 1 on Sunday before throwing a complete game in Game 2, again scattering six hits with three strikeouts and one earned run in the 7-1 win.
Rookie of the Week
Annie Jorgenson, D’Youville
Freshman | C/IF | Victoria, BC, Canada
Jorgenson doubled to walk it off in DYU’s 10-9 win over Molloy on Saturday, finishing the DH with four hits, including three doubles, and five RBI. On the week, the DYU freshman went 6-for-16 (.375) with five runs scored and six RBI to lead the Saints to a 5-1 mark.
ECC Weekly Honor Roll
Laura Beck, D’Youville
Senior | OF | Clifton Park, NY
Beck batted .363 this week, going 8-for-22 with eight RBI and eight runs scored with two stolen bases to lead DYU to a 5-1 week. The senior left fielder went 3-for-7 with four RBI and three runs scored in the sweep of Queens and holds a 13-game hitting streak, which is the longest of the season for the Saints.
Skylar Brandemarte, Mercy
Senior | P | Poughkeepsie, NY
Brandemarte went 2-0 in the circle with a 0.50 ERA and seven strikeouts in 14.0 innings, tossing two complete games in non-conference action. The senior opened the week with one earned run allowed in seven innings with three strikeouts to earn the win over Felician on Wednesday. The pitcher ended the week with a complete-game shutout with four strikeouts and four hits allowed to earn the win over Felician on Thursday.
Elyse Marcano, St. Thomas Aquinas
Junior | 2B | Middletown, NY
Marcano broke the program's 45-year record for stolen bases with three steals in a doubleheader sweep of Queens on Tuesday. The junior second baseman batted .500 (5-for-10) in the week with five runs and four steals to help STAC post a 3-1 record.
Natalie Moussa, Molloy
Senior | P | Chino Hills, CA
Moussa went 8-for-15 on the weekend with a .533 batting average, including two home runs, and drove in a total of seven runs in a 2-2 week for Molloy. In the doubleheader against Georgian Court, Moussa launched a two-run homerun in Game 1, and plated two runs off a single through the left side in Game 2. Moussa went 6-for-9 in the doubleheader against D'Youville including a double and her second two-run homerun of the weekend to give the Lions a 7-0 lead in the second inning of Game 1.
Allison Murphy, Mercy
Sophomore | 2B | Stony Point, NY
Murphy hit a team-high .462 (6-for-13) with three RBI, two doubles, and two runs as Mercy went 2-2 on the week. The sophomore opened the week going 4-for-5 with an RBI and two runs in the split against Felician on Wednesday. The second baseman ended the week going 2-for-4 with two RBI in game one against Dominican on Thursday.
Eliana Raposo, St. Thomas Aquinas
Junior | P/UTL | Wareham, MA
Raposo homered twice and drove in nine runs to propel STAC to a 3-1 record on the week. The junior centerfielder batted .333 (4-for-12) and also scored four runs.
