Stevie Dabbadie, Molloy
Sophomore | P/1B | Burbank, CA
Dabbadie hit .393 this week (11-for-28) with three doubles, five RBI, and four runs scored. She went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate in the comeback win against CSI, including an RBI double and a two-run single that gave Molloy the lead in the bottom of the sixth. She went 3-for-4 at the plate against Southern Connecticut with a double. Dabbadie pitched 5.0 innings in relief in game one against CSI, striking out four, and pitched her third complete game of the season in game two, striking out an additional four. The Molloy sophomore went 2-0 in that CSI series to lift Molloy to the ECC sweep.
Pitcher of the Week
Sarah Clancy, St. Thomas Aquinas
Graduate Student | LHP | Chino Hills, CA
Two-time defending ECC champion St. Thomas Aquinas won its season opening conference game 8-0 over Mercy behind Clancy's three-hit shutout pitching. The lefthander earned a pair of conference wins on the week, posting a 2.74 ERA and nine strikeouts.
Rookie of the Week
Annie Jorgenson, D’Youville
Freshman | C/IF | Victoria, BC, Canada
Jorgenson went 7-for-18 (.389) with three doubles, five RBI, and five runs scored on the week. She added five walks for a .522 on base percentage and slugged at a clip of .556.
ECC Weekly Honor Roll
Gianna Adamo, D’Youville
Senior | IF | Lockport, NY
Adamo recorded a .400 batting average with eight hits, five runs scored, and four RBI. In game two of the Saints’ doubleheader against Mercy on Saturday, Adamo recorded her 157th career hit in her first at-bat, making her D'Youville softball’s all-time career hits leader.
Skylar Brandemarte, Mercy
Senior | P | Poughkeepsie, NY
Brandemarte went 2-1 in the circle with a 2.10 ERA in 20.0 innings with 21 strikeouts and three complete games. The senior opened the week pitching a complete game with two earned runs allowed and four strikeouts to earn the game two win over STAC on Tuesday. The pitcher then threw a complete game shutout with a season-high 10 strikeouts to earn the win over New Haven on Thursday. Brandemarte ended the week with four earned runs allowed and seven strikeouts at D'Youville on Saturday.
Caylea Campbell, Queens
Sophomore | UTL | Murrieta, C
In the ECC DH against CSI, Campbell batted .500 with a SLG % of .667 and On Base % of .571 recording three hits, one double, one walk, and one RBI to go with a pitching record of 1-1. After a tough game one loss Campbell would make her second appearance of the day with the game tied 7-7 to pitch 3.1 innings in relief work as she went on to limit the Dolphins to three hits, two walks and punched out one batter to earn her first ECC victory. In the game two rally, Campbell went 2-4 at the plate recording a double, walk, and one RBI to help Queens improve to 2-2 in ECC play.
Summer Clark, D’Youville
Junior | P | Williamsville, NY
Clark went 2-0 for the week in the circle while slugging at a clip .650, driving in seven RBI on six hits, including one double and two home runs. The D’Youville junior got the win in the circle against Mercy, throwing a complete game with three strikeouts while hitting the walk-off grand slam to end it.
Elyse Marcano, St. Thomas Aquinas
Junior | 2B | Middletown, NY
Marcano helped STAC post a 3-3 record in the week with a .412 (7-for-17) batting average; including two doubles and a triple. The junior second baseman also drove in three runs, scored six times and stole three bases.
Sofia Marella, St. Thomas Aquinas
Freshman | DP | Cranston, RI
Marella hit a walkoff, grand slam home run in an 8-0 win over Mercy. The freshman designated player batted .286 (6-for-21) with eight RBI on the week.
Allison Murphy, Mercy
Sophomore | 2B | Stony Point, NY
Murphy hit a team-high .476 (10-for-21) with a team-high five runs and four doubles to go with three RBI and four stolen bases as Mercy went 3-3 on the week. The sophomore opened the week going 3-for-6 with an RBI and two runs in the split at STAC on Tuesday. The second baseman then went 7-for-8 with two RBI and three runs in the sweep of New Haven on Thursday.
Allie Parascandola, Queens
Junior | 1B | East Quogue, NY
Over four games played, Parascandola batted .500 with a .600 SLG % and On Base % of .500 recording five hits, one double and three runs scored. In the ECC DH split against CSI Saturday afternoon Parascandola batted a scorching .667 with a SLG % of .833 and On base % of .667 recording four hits, one double, and three runs scored. Trailing 5-1 in game two the junior went 3-4 AB with three runs scored and one stolen base as Queens earned a DH to the final score of 13-7 as the Knights improved to 2-2 in ECC play.
Sarah Parzych, D’Youville
Senior | P | Getzville, NY
Parzych posted a 3.63 ERA and 18 strikeouts for the week with a complete-game shutout against Mercy.
