COLONIA, NJ – After winning their fourth consecutive ECC Women's Basketball Championship earlier this afternoon, the Daemen Wildcats have been selected for their sixth straight NCAA Division II Women's Basketball East Regional Championship, as the the full 64-team NCAA tournament bracket was revealed on Sunday evening in a selection show broadcast at NCAA.com. This marks Daemen's sixth consecutive trip to the NCAA East Regional Championship; the Wildcats have won the regional twice in the last four years ('24, '21).
The No. 2 Wildcats will face No. 7 Jefferson (24-7), who fell to Holy Family in the CACC Championship Final earlier this afternoon, this Friday, March 14 at No. 1 Bentley University's Dana Center's Barbara Stevens Court in Waltham, MA.
The regional champion advances to the Elite Eight, which will run at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh, PA from March 24-28.
