No. 10 Roberts Wesleyan Historic Season Ends with No. 7 Wilmington at 2025 NCAA Men's Soccer Super-Region 1 Championship First Round, 6-2

RINDGE, N.H. – All-ECC Second Team forward Archie Murphy and Ewan O'Dwyer-Hall scored, but No. 7 Wilmington took down No. 10 Roberts Wesleyan, 6-2, in the 2025 NCAA Men’s Soccer Super-Region 1 Championship First Round at Frankin Pierce’s Sodexo Field in Rindge, N.H. on Friday evening. 

Appearing in their first NCAA postseason after earning the ECC’s AQ, the Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks close their season with a mark of 10-3-7 (4-1-3 ECC).

Wilmington (12-3-5) jumped out to an early 2-0 lead (5’, 22’) before Murphy scored on a lower left blast, assisted by All-ECC Second Team midfielder Jack Hopson and Iann Briones. 

The Wildcats tacked on one more to close the half (35’) before scoring three more times in the second (50’ 56’, 73’). 

O’Dwyer Hall then scored low left (77’) to close out the match’s scoring. 

Wilmington held a 23-12 advantage in shots and a 12-5 edge in shots on goal while Roberts Wesleyan was awarded eight of the match’s 12 corner kicks. 

All-ECC Second Team goalkeeper Eric Jewson, the Most Outstanding Player of the ECC Men’s Soccer Championship Tournament, made six saves vs. six goals allowed in the full-match effort.
