2025 ECC WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL

The No. 1 seed Mercy Mavericks (18-4, 11-1 ECC) are back in the tournament for a sixth straight year. The Mavs have won the ECC Championship three times (from 1999-01) and reached the ECC Championship Final last year for the first time since 2005.

Back in the postseason bracket for a seventh time in the last eight seasons are the No. 2 seed Molloy Lions (17-8, 10-2 ECC). The Lions have appeared in the ECC Championship Finals five times in the last seven seasons and won it all in 2017 and 2019.

Daemen (12-13, 8-4 ECC) earns the No. 3 seed after winning three of its last four conference match-ups of the regular season. The Wildcats have won four of the last six ECC Championships (2018 and 2021-23) and have appeared in five of the last eight ECC Championship Finals.

Defending champion D’Youville (10-15, 5-7 ECC) earns the No. 4 seed as the Saints make their second consecutive ECC Tournament appearance. DYU upset top-seeded Daemen, 3-2, and third-seeded Mercy, 3-1, last year to win the program’s first-ever ECC Championship… as the No. 4 seed.

The Mavericks and Saints will meet at 4:00 PM on Friday in the first of two semifinals that evening. Mercy defeated D’Youville at home, 3-0, on October 11 but the Saints went on to hand the Lions their only conference loss of the season in a five-set nailbiter up in Buffalo, N.Y. on November 8.

The Lions and Wildcats will meet at 6:30 PM in Friday’s second semifinal. Molloy swept Daemen in the regular season with a 3-1 road win on September 27 and a 3-0 home win on November 1.

The winners of those match-ups will meet on Saturday evening at 5:00 PM in the 2025 ECC Women’s Volleyball Championship Final.
