Men's Track Athlete of the Week
Devin Jones, Felician
Junior | Multi-Events | Toms River, N.J.
Jones won the 55m final in 6.44 at the Art Kadish Elm City Challenge. Converted to a 60m time, Jones’ 6.93 leads the ECC and stands just .08 off from the NCAA provisional mark. The Felician junior had also posted the fastest time in a preliminaries field of 36 sprinters, advancing to the final with a time of 6.50.

Nishorn Pierre, Holy Family
Junior | Jumps | Grenada
Pierre set two NCAA provisionals at the Seahawk Shootout on Friday, highlighted by winning the high jump for the second week in a row. He cleared .01m higher than the week prior at 2.15m (7’ 1/2”), to move into a tie for the Division II lead as he topped the field of 17. Pierre also landed at an NCAA provisional and school record triple jump mark of 15.04m (49’ 4 1/4”) to take silver in the event.
Women's Track Athlete of the Week
Hannah Thomas, Daemen
Graduate Student | Distance | Cheektowaga, N.Y.
Thomas won both the mile and 3000m at the Utica Holiday Classic this weekend. The Daemen graduate student crossed the finish line of the mile first (5:21.48 PR) in a field of 19 and placed first in the 3000m (10:48.70 PR) in a field of nine. Thomas’ 3000m time leads the ECC while her mile time ranks third. She has now placed first in all three races she has competed in so far this season, as her first-place 800m time from last weekend (2:23.78) also leads the ECC.
Women's Field Athlete of the Week
Brynn King, Roberts Wesleyan
Graduate Student | Pole Vault | The Woodlands, Texas
For the second consecutive week, King knocked down a national record... and this time, it was her own. Exactly one week after breaking the NCAA's fourteen-year-old Division II record in the indoor pole vault, King improved upon her own record mark, dropping a 4.42m (14’ 6”) at the Nazareth Alumni Opener Invitational, held at the Nazareth-Golisano Training Facility on Friday. King remains the top vaulter in NCAA DII and has the second-best mark in any division of the NCAA, trailing only Chloe Timberg of Rutgers (4.47m).

Kouto Anyika, Holy Family
Sophomore | Sprints | Philadelphia, Pa.
In a field complete with top Division I competition, Anyika broke his own school record in the 300m by over a second, 34.18, to place second out of 116 entries at the Seahawk Shootout on Friday.
Terrence Jones, Holy Family
Senior | Hurdles/Jumps | East Orange, N.J.
Jones posted three top-10 finishes at the Seahawk Shootout on Friday, highlighted by earning bronze in the 60m hurdles field of 26 with the fastest time (8.35) in the ECC this season. The senior also took eighth in the long jump (6.73m) and ninth in the high jump (1.90m PR).
Emmanuel Mena-Jimenez, St. Thomas Aquinas
Senior | Throws | West Haverstraw, N.Y.
Mena-Jimenez was once again dominant in both the weight throw and shot put events for the maroon and gold at the Seahawk Shootout this weekend. The St. Thomas Aquinas senior won the weight throw in a field of 27 with a collegiate-best toss of 19.51m (64’ 0”), which leads the ECC and improved his NCAA Division II provisional standing. Mena-Jimenez also placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 14.95m (49’ 1/2”), which was the top mark out of the ECC this weekend and ranks second in the ECC this season.
Shane O’Connell, Felician
Junior | Jumps | Manchester, United Kingdom
O’Connell recorded an overall meet record at the Art Kadish Elm City Challenge as he cleared 2.00m (6' 6 3/4”) to win the high jump in a field of five. That mark ties for third in the ECC and is just .03m off from the NCAA provisional mark.
Owen White, Roberts Wesleyan
Senior | Distance | Lockport, N.Y.
White, who won the 2023 ECC Cross Country Championship individual title this fall, broke the Roberts Wesleyan school record in the 5000m (14:31.76) at the Grand Valley State Holiday Open en route to a ninth-place finish in a field of 21. The time leads the ECC and is just 5.38 seconds off from meeting the NCAA provisional mark.

Acacia Barber, Roberts Wesleyan
Junior | Distance | Frewsburg, N.Y.
Barber, who won the 2023 ECC Cross Country Championship individual title this fall, broke the Roberts Wesleyan program record in the 5000m at the Grand Valley State University Holiday Open, dropping a collegiate-best time of 17:31.91 for seventh in a field of 27. The only sub-18:00 performance out of the ECC so far this season, Barber’s 5000m effort sits just 14.5 seconds off from the NCAA provisional mark and ranks 42nd nationally.
Jada Carroll, Felician
Senior | Multi-Events | Ridgefield Park, N.J.
Carroll hit the NCAA provisional mark in the triple jump at the Art Kadish Elm City Challenge, winning the event in a field of 11 at 11.74m (38’ 6 1/4”).
Catherine Catipay, Felician
Senior | Distance | Woodbridge, N.J.
Catipay won the 800m in a field of seven at the Art Kadish Elm City Challenge in 2:26.06; the converted time of 2:24.40 sits second in the ECC.
Aarysa Moore, Felician
Freshman | Hurdles | Wappingers Falls, N.Y.
Moore won the 55m hurdles in 8.56, a new Felician record, and added a second-place finish in the high jump (1.60m, 5’ 3”) at the Art Kadish Elm City Challenge.
Rain Sheppard, District of Columbia
Freshman | Distance | Brooklyn, N.Y.
Sheppard turned in a 1000m time of 3:03.96 to place sixth in a field of 25 at the Seahawk Shootout. The UDC freshman finished with the best DII time of the meet as it currently leads the ECC by nearly 10 seconds. Sheppard also ran the second leg on the ninth-place 4x400m relay (4:03.63), which ranks third in the ECC.
