ECC Women's Volleyball Report - Week Ten

Player of the Week
Maggie Burns, Daemen (Fifth-Year, OH - Louisville, Ky.)
Burns totaled 25 kills (3.13 kills/set), 18 digs, and six service aces to lead Daemen to its third consecutive regular-season title with a pair of ECC wins over Queens and Molloy this past weekend. Burns notched her 1,000th career kill against Molloy on Sunday, becoming just the 10th player in Daemen history to total 1,000 kills; she totaled 1,000 career digs earlier this season.

Defensive Player of the Week
Jasmine Brundage, Daemen (Senior, L - East Aurora, N.Y)
Brundage totaled 38 digs (4.75 digs/set), four assists, and two service aces to lead Daemen to its third consecutive regular-season title with a pair of ECC wins over Queens and Molloy this past weekend. The senior libero posted 14 digs vs. Queens and 24 digs vs. Molloy.

Setter of the Week
Despina Boudouris, Queens (Junior, S - Athens, Greece)
Over two matches, Boudouris recorded 73 assists, 14 digs, and three blocks to go with one service ace. In the 3-1 comeback victory over D'Youville, Boudouris would break the program’s single-season assist record for the second time this season, as she recorded a career-best 57 assists in the win. It is the second time the Greece native has touched 50-plus assists in a single match this season.

Rookie of the Week
Charlotte Koerber, Daemen (Freshman, OH - Munich, Germany)
Koerber totaled 16 kills (2.0 kills/set) for a .254 hitting percentage and added 17 digs as the Wildcats went on a 2-0 weekend with wins over Queens and Molloy. She helped Daemen clinch their third consecutive regular season title in Saturday's 3-0 win over Queens.

ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Alexis Deodat, Queens (Senior, MB/RS, Tampa Bay, Fla.)
In a 1-1 week, Deodat recorded 13 kills and 10 blocks. In the 3-1 comeback victory over D'Youville, Deodat recorded a season-high 11 kills to go with a career-best eight blocks.

Christina Franco, Queens (Junior, OH - Lynbrook, N.Y.)
In a 1-1 week, Franco recorded 27 kills, 23 digs, five blocks, and four service aces. In the 3-1 comeback victory over D'Youville, Franco recorded her eighth double-double of the year as she matched a season-high 23 kills to go with 17 digs and three service aces and tied a career-high three blocks on the day.

Larissa Schneid, Mercy (Senior, OH - Sao Paulo, Brazil)
Schneid had a team-high 25 kills and 3.57 kills per set with 16 digs and seven blocks as Mercy went 2-0 on the week. The senior opened the week with nine kills, seven digs, and four blocks in the non-conference win at Saint Rose and ended the week with a match-high 16 kills with nine digs and three blocks in Mercy's conference win over Roberts Wesleyan.

Caleigh Schroeder, Roberts Wesleyan (Sophomore, S - Maplewood, Minn.)
Schroeder posted 41 assists and sixth service aces in a 3-1 win over St. Thomas Aquinas en route to 68 assists on the weekend.

Lea Venghaus, St. Thomas Aquinas (Junior, S - Muenster, Germany)
Venghaus totaled 71 assists (10.14 per set) while also picking up four services aces, four kills, 14 digs, and two block assists over two matches against Caldwell and Roberts Wesleyan last week.
