Baden Offensive Player of the Week

Maria Sonnerborg, C.W. Post (Jr., F, Bjarred, Sweden) - Notched a goal and assist, setting up the eventual game winner in a 3-0 victory over Dowling in the NCAA northeast regional. Baden Defensive Player of the Week

Caitlin Mullady, CW Post (So, D, Hauppage, NY) - Was an anchor to a team defense that limited Dowling to only eight shots in C.W. Post's 3-0 second round victory in the NCAA northeast regional.

CW Post
: C.W. Post (17-1-2) making their first trip to the NCAA tournament since 2005, defeated Dowling College by a score of 3-0 in second round tournament action.  Junior forward Maria Sonnerborg scored a goal and added an assist, and freshman forward Ivana Babic increased her team-leading goal total to 18 on the season.  Senior goalkeeper Kim Yacenda also posted her seventh shutout of the season.  With the win, the Pioneers will advance to play West Chester in the third round of the NCAA tournament next weekend, at a site yet to be determined. 

Dowling: The Golden Lions earned their first ever bid into the NCAA Regional Tournament this year.  They took on the University of Bridgeport for the first round and advanced on a 4-3 PK edge.  Vanessa Moreira tied the game at one and two with Dowling's first two goals.  Christina Intartaglia netted the go-ahead goal, but with 17 seconds remaining, the Purple Knights knotted the score. After two scoreless overtimes the game came down to penalty kicks.  Moreria, Cipriano, Falese and Cronin connected for Dowling while Commisso blocked one shot to send the Golden Lions to the Second Round.  Dowling ended their season with a 15-7-1 record after falling to the #1 CW Post Pioneers by a score of 3-0. 

Adelphi: The Panthers closed out their season in the first round of the NCAA Division II tournament with a 2-0 loss to Slippery Rock. The Panthers finished the season with a record of 12-6 overall. The trip was Adelphi's fifth appearance in the last six seasons.
