
Bridgeport, CT-Sophomore defender Emma Woolley (Sheffield, England) has been selected to the 2007 Daktronics NCAA Division II Women's Soccer All-America Second Team. Sports information directors from NCAA Division II schools and conferences selected the three Daktronics All-America teams which were released on Wednesday, November 28.
The process begins at the regional level with all first team
all-region picks advancing to the national ballot. This is the
second year Daktronics has sponsored the NCAA Division II women's
soccer All-America and all-region teams. A total of 33
student-athletes representing 26 different institutions filled out
the three teams.
Woolley, the East Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year in
2007, helped her team to its first-ever appearance in the NCAA
Division II National Championship Tournament this season. UB also
claimed a share of the East Coast Conference regular season title
in 2007, marking the second straight season that the Purple Knights
have won at least a share of the ECC regular season crown.
Emma led the team is assists with 13, and she finished the season
with 18 total points, adding one goal to go along with her
impressive assist total.
