NYIT's Milano Named CoSIDA Academic All-American

Austin, Texas - NYIT women's lacrosse standout, Alyssa Milano, has been named to the CoSIDA Division II Academic All-America At-Large First Team.

Milano was a First Team All-Conference selection for NYIT in the Bears' inaugural season after tallying 58 goals and nine assists for 67 points. A junior, she has also excelled in the classroom with a perfect 4.0 GPA as a Business Administration major in her time at NYIT and former ECC member school, Dowling.

The at-large program for the CoSIDA Academic All-America® program includes the sports of fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming and diving, tennis, water polo for both men and women; bowling, crew and field hockey for women; and volleyball and wrestling for men.

The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2016-17 Division II Academic All-America® teams program.
