Players of the Week
Jenna Miller, C.W. Post (Sr., A, Silver Spring, Md. / Blake) - Averaged 6.3 points per game (6g-13a-19pt) in a 3-0 week including a new program record 10 assists in a win over New Haven. Miller followed with four goals in a win over Southern N.H.
Sarah LeGoff, New Haven (So., A/M, Manorville, N.Y. / Eastport South Manor H.S.) - Tallied seven goals in a 2-1 week. She scored four versus St. Thomas Aquinas, one against C.W. Post and two, including the game winner with 39 seconds remaining, in an 11-10 come-from-behind upset victory at No. 3 Stonehill.

Lauren Scipione, C.W. Post (Sr., East Meadow, N.Y. / East Meadow) - Made 17 stops on 37 shots faced in a 3-0 week.
Rookie of the Week
Kaitlyn Carter, Adelphi (Fr., M, Mineola, N.Y. / Mineola) - Notched a career best eight goals along with one assist in a 22-9 ECC win over Saint Thomas Aquinas.
ECC Notebook
ECC: In the most recent IWLCA Division II
national poll (3/25), C.W. Post remained the nation's top ranked
team, while Adelphi was No. 5 and New Haven was receiving
votes.
C.W. Post: C.W. Post remained the top team in Division II
and improved its record to 7-0 this week with wins against New
Haven, Southern Connecticut and Southern New Hampshire. The
Pioneers outscored their opponents, 47-16. Senior attacker
Jenna Miller tallied a program-best 10 assists in the Pioneers'
15-3 win at New Haven. C.W. Post will host conference
opponent Molloy on Apr. 1 before traveling to play at St. Thomas
Aquinas on Apr. 2.
Adelphi: Despite a 5-0 record, the Panthers dropped from #4 to #5 in the IWLCA rankings. The Panthers topped STAC, 22-9, in their first conference game of the season. Freshman Kaitlyn Carter led the Panthers with a career best eight goals along with one assist. Junior Rachel Ray tallied four goals and five assists for nine points. This is the second consecutive game Ray has scored nine or more points. Ray has dished out five or more assists in all five Adelphi games this season. She currently leads DII in points per game and assists per game. The Panthers return to action next Saturday, traveling to the University of New Haven.
Dowling: Dowling had a 1-1 week picking up their first conference win against Molloy 9-7 and dropping a close game to Southern New Hampshire 12-11. The Golden Lions were led by a pair of East Islip alumni, freshmen Cassandra Cronin and Kelly Cefalu. Cronin scored 6 goals on the week (2, 4) while Cefalu, the team's leading scorer, pitched in with 4 (3, 1). Dowling is in the midst of an 8 game home stand in which they take on conference rival New Haven Wednesday 4/2 and Dominican Saturday 4/5.
New Haven: The University of New Haven lacrosse team finished the week 2-1 including an upset of #3 Stonehill on Thursday. They started the week with a 15-3 loss to C.W. Post. Then on Thursday, they defeated Stonehill in dramatic fashion by scoring the game's final 7 goals en route to an 11-10 upset of the Skyhawks. The Chargers continued ECC play on Saturday with an 18-6 decision over St. Thomas Aquinas. Mallory Ferrandiz led the Chargers with nine points on the week, including a career-high five assists versus STAC on Saturday. Ashley Ferrandiz (6 g, 1 a) and Sarah LeGoff (7 g) each added seven points apiece on the week for UNH.
Philadelphia: Senior midfielder Maggie Bornhorst scored the 100th goal of her career in the Lady Rams' win over Bloomsburg on March 30th, becoming just the 11th player in school history to reach the plateau...Now ranks tenth all-time in school history with 101 career goals and needs just five goals to move into eighth place.
Molloy: The Lady Lions went 1-1 for the week with a 9-7 loss to Dowling on March 26 and a 16-15 victory over Southern New Hampshire on March 27. Rebecca LaFlare led Molloy with eight goals and an assist, while Kristina Wargo had three goals and four assists. Alicia Frisch made 22 saves in net for the Lady Lions.
St. Thomas Aquinas: STAC women's lacrosse dropped 3 games this week. On Thursday, they dropped a 22 - 9 decision to ECC rival Adelphi. On Saturday, they lost 18 - 6 to New Haven and then Sunday saw the Spartans drop an 18 - 5 decision to #3 Stonehill. The STAC record is 1 & 5 overall and 0 & 2 in the ECC.
