Ana Impellizzeri (Queens)
So., M, Medford, NY, Patchogue Medford High School
Sophomore Ana Impellizzeri recorded a team-high three-point week, tallying her first goal and assist of the year. Impellizzeri recorded her first assist of the season against No. 7 Pace as the Queens comeback attempt fell just short. On Saturday, Impellizzeri recorded her first goal of the year as the Knights earned a 2-0 shutout victory over Dominican.
Defensive Player of the Week
Femke Demets (Mercy)
Sr., D, Avelgem, Belgium, University of Texas Rio Grande Valley
Demets scored her first collegiate goal in the Mavericks' 4-2 win at Dominican on Wednesday and helped lead a Mercy backline that posted a shutout in the Mavericks' 0-0 draw against 2025 NCAA Tournament participant and regionally-ranked Jefferson on Saturday.
Goalkeeper of the Week
Anneliese Becker (Mercy)
Jr., GK, Stafford, Va., Mountain View
Becker went 1-0-1 on the week with six saves, a .750 save percentage and a 1.00 goals-against average. The junior opened the week making one save in Mercy's 4-2 win at Dominican on Wednesday. Becker ended the week with a game-high five saves to earn the shutout in the Mavericks' 0-0 draw against 2025 NCAA Tournament participant and regionally-ranked Jefferson on Saturday.
Rookie of the Week
Mackenzie Truman (Roberts Wesleyan)
Fr., D, Clarence, NY, Clarence
Freshman defender Mackenzie Truman has started every game and played nearly every minute to help the Redhawks start the season with an impressive 3-0-3 record. She played a key defensive role in the weekend tie with nationally-ranked Saint Michael's College. She was one of two field players that played all 90 minutes of the game.

Ava Angiuli (Queens)
Sr., D, Wantagh, NY, MacArthur High School
Senior Ava Angiuli recorded a team-high three-point week, tallying her first goal and assist of the year. Angiuli recorded her first assist of the season against No. 7 Pace Wednesday night as the Knights’ comeback attempt fell just short. On Saturday, Angiuli recorded her first goal and game-winning goal of the year as Queens shut out Dominican, 2-0. Angiuli and her backline held off a second-half Chargers rally as the Knights earned their fourth shutout of the year.
Alegra Black (D'Youville)
Jr., GK, Toronto, Ontario, Rabun Gap
Alegra played the full 90 minutes in a hard-fought draw against Edinboro on Wednesday. In super rainy conditions, Alegra and the Saints saw 24 shots, Black saved 7 with huge stops down the stretch to avoid handing over the lead. Alegra's multiple saves in clutch time allowed the Saints to walk of Edinboro with a tie.
Samantha Cipolla (Roberts Wesleyan)
Jr., F, Rochester, NY, Gates-Chili
Junior Sam Cipolla notched another goal over the weekend to continue her streak of at least one point in each game this season and scored the lone Roberts goal in a big 1-1 tie with nationally-ranked Saint Michael's College. She currently ranks first in points and second in goals in the conference standings.
Elizabeth Crawford (Mercy)
Fr., F, Lake Orion, Mich., Lake Orion
Crawford scored a goal in Mercy's 4-2 win at Dominican on Wednesday.
Samantha Hines-Hirsch (Queens)
Jr., GK, Plainview, NY, Plainview Old Bethpage JFK
Senior goalkeeper Samantha Hines-Hirsch recorded nine saves in a 1-1 week for the Knights. Against No. 7 Pace, the senior tallied two saves as Queens’ comeback attempt fell just short in a 3-2 final. On Saturday, Hines-Hirsch posted her fourth shutout of the year, recording a season-best seven saves in the Knights’ 2-0 victory over Dominican.
Rylee Kumer (Daemen)
Jr., GK, Ambridge, Pa., North Catholic
Kumer logged 23 saves in two games this past weekend. She made a career-high 12 saves against Saint Anselm on Friday. The junior stopped seven shots in the first half and five in the second. Kumer then recorded 11 saves against #17 Bentley on Sunday.
Addison Lucy (Staten Island)
Fr., F, Fallbrook, CA, Fallbrook High School
Lucy recorded her first collegiate career goal against Felician University that ended up tying the game at one against the Golden Falcons. In the three-game week, she recorded four shots and recorded two points on her lone goal for the Dolphins.
Socada Manta (D'Youville)
Jr., M, Helsinki, Finland, Deutsche Schule Helsinki
Manta Socada put up D'Youville's lone goal of the week as it was a pivotal one against Edinboro to aid the Saints in the Tie. A beautiful top shelf goal just under 2 minutes into the game to allow the Saints to leave Edinboro without a loss. While not recording any goals, Socada did play a majority of the game against #12 Saint Michael in what was an intense matchup with some assist chances for Socada that didn't cash in.
Catalena Robson (St. Thomas Aquinas)
Sr., GK, Nutley, N.J., Nutley
Despite dropping a 3-0 decision to Southern Connecticut State in the Spartans season opener on Saturday, Robson turned aside 21 of 24 Owls shots faced to keep her team in the match throughout.
Mia Wright (Daemen)
So., F, Liverpool, N.Y., Liverpool
Wright scored her first career goal at #17 Bentley on Sunday. She found the back of the net in the 10th minute, giving Daemen a 1-0 lead at the time.
Oksana Zahirna (Staten Island)
Jr., GK, Lviv, Ukraine, John Dewey High School
Zahirna started all three games for the Dolphins last week and recorded the shutout victory against Caldwell University on Saturday after she recorded 11 saves. In the week, she saved 26 shots with an 89% save percentage.

Founded as the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference in 1989 and rechristened the East Coast Conference in July 2006, the ECC was formed to enhance intercollegiate athletic competition among member institutions and to assist them in integrating athletics into their academic program in a fiscally sound way. The ECC is committed to the highest standards of scholarship, sportsmanship, teamwork, and citizenship. Its mission is to promote the total person concept in its student-athletes, which stresses the abilities to excel in academic achievement, athletic competition, and positive character traits. East Coast Conference members include: Daemen University (Amherst, N.Y.); University of the District of Columbia (Washington, D.C.); D'Youville University (Buffalo, N.Y.); Mercy University (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.); Molloy University (Rockville Centre, N.Y.); Queens College (Flushing, N.Y.); Roberts Wesleyan University (Rochester, N.Y.); College of Staten Island (Staten Island, N.Y.); and St. Thomas Aquinas College (Sparkill, N.Y.). The ECC also is home to 13 associate members in the sports of women’s bowling (3), men’s and women’s indoor track & field (3), men's volleyball (2), field hockey (1), and men’s lacrosse (1).
The ECC sponsors the following championship sports: baseball; men’s and women’s basketball; women's bowling; men’s and women’s cross country; field hockey; men’s and women’s lacrosse; men’s and women’s indoor track and field; men’s and women’s outdoor track and field; men’s and women’s soccer; softball; and men's and women’s volleyball.
The East Coast Conference is a proud member of the NCAA and Division II. Division II is a dynamic and engaging group of colleges, institutions and conferences of varying sizes and educational missions. Division II members encourage and support diversity; value sportsmanship, fairness and equity; and place the highest priority on the overall educational excellence of the student-athlete.
