Roberts Wesleyan's Brynn King Places Fifth At USATF Indoor Championships

STATEN ISLAND, NY –
Roberts Wesleyan University graduate student Brynn King placed fifth in the women's pole vault at the USATF Indoor Championships on Saturday at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.

King, a member of the 2024 United States Olympic Team, entered the competition with a make at 4.30 meters (14-feet, 1 ¼- inches). She passed on the next height 4.4 meters and, following a miss at 4.5 meters, passed to 4.55 meters (14-11), which she cleared on her first attempt.

King passed on the next two heights before missing at 4.70 meters (15-5). Katie Moon won the event with a final height of 4.8 meters (15-9).

King, a native of The Woodlands, Texas, is the defending NCAA Division II Indoor and Outdoor champion. She finished seventh at the USATF Indoor Championships in 2024.

She was named the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division II National Athlete of the Week on Monday after clearing 4.60 meters (15-1) to win the Youngstown State University Last Chance Invitational on Feb. 14.

The NCAA Division II Indoor Championships are scheduled for March 13-15 in Indianapolis.
