STATEN ISLAND, NY – Totaling 120 points, Roberts Wesleyan won its fifth ECC Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship, and first since 2018, at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Sunday evening. The Redhawks, who were picked third in the ECC Preseason Poll, defeated preseason co-favorite and meet runner-up Felician (112) by eight points and preseason co-favorite and meet third-place finisher District of Columbia (100) by 20 points. Two meet records came down, as D'Youville destroyed the Distance Medley Relay record and RWU's Sarah Ferguson set the new pole vault record.

RESULTS

Roberts Wesleyan earned a meet-high 13 medals, including two golds from Kylee Odell in the 1000m (3:02.31) and mile (5:27.51), a gold in the 5000m (18:31.14) and a silver in the 3000m from Rachel Horner-Richardson, and a silver in the 800m and bronze in the 60m hurdles from Jadyn Mullen alongside Ferguson's gold in the pole vault with a meet-record 3.93m (NCAA Provisional Mark). In all, 15 individuals and one relay placed in the top four to score four points or more for the champion Redhawks. 

The runner-up Golden Falcons earned 11 total medals. Jada Carroll led the way, winning the high jump (1.60m) and placing second in both the long jump and triple jump while ECC Preseason Co-Athlete of the Year Chantoya Thomas earned gold in the 400m (57.58) and silver in the 200m. Felician added two additional gold medals from Imani Fitzpatrick in the 500m (1:17.20) and Destiny Ellerbe in the shot put (12.24m).

Claiming a meet-high five gold medals en route to 10 in all, UDC finished third. ECC Preseason Co-Athlete of the Year Kayla Cooper was a walking medal, sweeping the 60m (7.67), 200m (25.25), and long jump (5.73m) and running the second leg on the third-place 4x400m relay to account for 36 of the Firebirds' points on the evening. Zoe Shaw won the triple jump (11.40m) and placed second in the high jump while Emmanuela Katou Kouami continued her dominant season in the weight throw, tossing for an event-winning 17.24m (NCAA Provisional Mark). 

Holy Family totaled 71 points for fourth place. Ocelia Jones won gold in the 60m hurdles (8.73, NCAA Provisional Mark), anchored the first-place 4x400m relay (3:59.12), and placed second in the 400m while Jahtivya Williams earned silver in the 60m and bronze in the 200m. 

D'Youville rounded out the top five with 41 points. Lainie Smith was the headline for the Saints as she dominated the 3000m (10:25.57) and anchored the Distance Medley Relay of Lydia Smith, Skylar Savage, and Sevilla Groebe to a new ECC meet-record time of 12:26.28, 14 seconds faster than the previous record. DYU totaled four medals in all.
